Mix local +online coop

Hey, I didn't find a thread talking about it (but to be fair I didn't check all the 19 pages of discussion threads...).

Is there a plan to make it possible to play local coop and online multiplayer in the same session.
My friends live together and play local coop on their big TV, with one copy of the game. I have my own copy and I'd like to join them without having to use remote-play or parsec ( or any streaming method, because it's always a sub-par experience imo, regarding video compression, and lag due to bandwidth and resources requirement for video game streaming).
Ideally it would just be the same multiplayer game mode, allowing steam friends to join and add local controller as a player.
I really hope this feature gets implemented at some point !

Sorry to disappoint, but there is currently no plan to support mixing Online and Local co-op players.
