Pfff, i´ve reinstalled windows a few times and nothing. Last F1 games did the same, all the time crashing with this problem. Thanks to you guy,

I'm having the same problem. I am not reinstalling windows to run this game.

This is my first version of this game. Did previous versions eventually have the issue fixed?

so like it told it, check your files integrity of the game, not windows

I have done this. Many times. Sometimes it updates them, sometimes it says they're fine. No matter what, it doesn't work.

I've also run as administrator (both steam and F1 itself); turned off all background software (particularly monitoring software); uninstalled, deleted all game folders and files, then reinstalled the game; ensured windows and nvidia drivers are up to date; ensured my bios was up to date (because while I'm at it, why not); turned down my graphics settings (even though I'm running a 5900x and an rtx 3080). NOTHING helps it.

To reiterate my question:
I've seen many comments about previous versions of the game having a similar issue. Did those previous versions have their issues resolved eventually? Or is this just a bug that is perpetuating across all versions of the game and EA are doing nothing to sort it out?

CORRECTION: codemaster directly, although they are owned by EA. So, yeah, EA, too.

they had nothing to do with the actual development of the game

Sure they did. They paid the bills. But it's irrelevant to my question.
