Windows version not too old!

I am running Windows 10 Version 21H1 (Build 19043.1110). Every time I start F1 2021 a warning box appears telling me that my version of Windows is older than the minimum version required (Version 1709- Build 16299). Why?? I don't believe this should be happening.

It means your windows needs some updates. Go to windows update and get all the new updates for free.

It's probably a bug in F1 2021 meaning it will be fixed in a future update. I assume your other Windows 10 only games run just fine, so this is the most likely case. Don't do anything too drastic of changes cause it might not be something you can fix.

It launches through steam even if I click on the F1201 icon on the desktop.

I know this thread is old, but maybe it will be helpful to someone. Check if steam is not running in compatibility mode (Right click on Steam shortcut -> properties -> Compatibility). Had an issue like this. Steam was set to run in compatibility mode for Windows 8, hence the problem
