Steering Wheel Help!!
I played f1 2020 on PS4 using a wheel, now I’m playing f1 2021 on pc this time around with the same wheel because it works for PS4 and PC

But when I plug it into my pc it is registered As an Xbox controller instead of a wheel meaning that I can’t properly calibrate my wheel as the wheel is acting like a controller when it comes to steering

If you have any fixes or settings I could try that would really help me out.. thanks!

Steam -> settings -> Controller -> general controler -> settings then untick all options see if that helps assigning controls

Make sure you have the switch on the top of the wheelbase set to PS4-S and not PS4-N. The S is for steering and N for normal. If you keep it in PS4-N it will just work as a normal controller and not a wheel. Could be part of the issue. Also good idea to update the firmware: https://stores.horiusa.com/ps4-rwa-wireless-improved-operational-stability-on-ps-5/

It’s in the actual f1 2021 game that it says it’s an xbox controller…. And it’s the same for steam it says it’s a xbox 360 controller so I can’t calibrate it

It’s already set to PSN S so that isn’t the issue however I’ll try to update the drivers and come back to see if that made a difference thanks

Go to game management gear on the right of the game page where you launch, navigate to properties then find the controller tab on the left. Once you are withing the controller tab of the game properties for the game you will see a drop down tab containing 3 options. Those options are as follows (disable steam inputs, default inputs, and enable steam inputs) choose DISABLE STEAM INPUTS! This will uncheck all inputs except for the bottom two, (steam controller, remote play) 😊 ENJOY! This fixed my rwa issues universally
