WTF is with this Onyx thing

heals to 100% every other second, has lots of lightning orbs that wont let you melee him the whole fight, has so much invinc frames that you can be behind him shooting while he's stuck in a slashing animation but takes no damage and can then dodge roll away 9/10 times. How is this anything but Troll? am i missing something here? POS is the only thing that comes to mind when thinking of this fight, WTF?

Hi,

He is pretty tough but you will get one of the best melee weapons in the game, the Diamond Knight greatsword. Don’t use a ranged weapon on him unless you got behind him he has a force shield that blocks all projectiles. He is tough but has many weaknesses.

His weakness is when he is summoning orbs, you can do a lot of damage to him at this time and just Air combo take out the orbs later.

Onyx is immune to DOT damage ie flame grenades
His healing takes time it doesn’t heal to 100% instantly, you can stop him with any hits.

Use your droid to distract him, and rank 4 blood drone Tornado skill works on him you can stun him with that skill.
He can't block laser weapons

Keep close to him melee is the key.

Thanks for the feedback. I did however manage to defeat him on the next try after my original post. I did what i swore i wouldn't do on this playthrough; used the battle droid skill to have a helper robot - felt bad. Even w/ that he is something else to say the least. If I do another Blood Wolf PT i'll try to use your tips tho.

I defeated him by having the battle droid go at him from one side while i got behind him and used the Ion Rifle with poison gems - which worked a lot better than i thought. In the end i feel i got really lucky but i'll take the win.

You mention laser weapons, can I acquire any on a Blood Wolf PT? I actually haven't received/found a new weapon at all since the gun received the Serpent God, i'm now at the Celestial Tower w/ 2/4 keys collected (thinking im near the final boss but not sure). Have I missed any weapons or is that it for Blood Wolf?

*I did get that Diamond Great Sword from the 2 faction leader kills tho
