How does Multiplayer actually work?

Hung around in the lobby for 15 minutes, didn't get anywhere so made an online account and had a match against that. 7 Minutes in and I'm not sure what I'm meant to be doing?

I've just been building stuff but no enemies have come along. I thought maybe you're meant to launch enemies at your opponent but I can't find an option anywhere to do that either.

NVM, I found the zombie spawner.

Multiplayer could really do with a brief tutorial though, or even just some opening slides like you get with the base game.

While I'm here, a suggestion: Have an "X players currently playing in matches" or something in the multiplayer lobby, just so people know that there, actually, other players online and even if you don't get matched right away, it should happen sooner or later.

Multiplayer would be great in this game if that section weren't broken The zombie launch rarely ever works.
