2) All genitals look the same and devoid of pubes. Add customization options for her
3) Sound effects (moaning etc)
1) Chelsea should be able to run, though the executioner that shows up during bloodmoon should still be quicker than her. Hiding should stay a part of it.
2) Ingame hints on how to get some of the endings. This counts for all of the games to be honest, have some hints for unlocked gallery scenes as well as endings. Some of them are very hard to find on your own.
3) Add more scenes to the existing monsters. I would not add too many new ones since the roster of monsters is good. HOwever, giving them all longer clips would make it feel like a worthy remake.
4) Have dollhouse be base game. Instead of it being a dlc have it be a reward for beating the game with let's say, 3 different endings or something. After all, it leads straight into the story of Witch 2.
5) Redo the graphics, they are not bad but they are a lot worse compared to the newer games.
Personally, I don't think Witch 1 needs a remake. I would rather have an update to it or perhaps a whole new game instead. But if it were to be remade I would change the things listed above.
1) Do you want to make it as close to the original as possible?
2) Do you want to make something new, but heavily based on The Witch 1?
If 1), then:
a) polish the graphics
b) upscale resolution of the videos
c) make Chelsea able to run
d) make the minimap more clear visually. Add some waypoints to the garden.
e) add voice acting / sound effects.
If 2), then all the things mentioned above, PLUS:
a) implement All DLCs to the main story. The doll house, and the other dlc would be super nice as minigames. For example The doll house could be found in the attic, sucking Chelsea inside if she fails to disarm it.
b) Add more rooms / levels to the Mansion. Expand the house / garden. (A little pond in the garden area. A hidden wall with a secret room behind. Auntie Agnet's lab. Dark ritual room with forbbidden books and Agnet's diary... (there're endless possibilities
c) With more areas, there'll be more place for new monsters. Add more of them. Try to categorize them. For example:
- circus monsters: a jester, a clown in the box...
- unholy monsters: executioner, zombies, ghosts, patchwerks, abominations
- fairy monsters: the plant things, all animallike monsters, the gnome
- hellish monsters: tentacle arms, manikins, imps, the bdsm dude (idk his name)
d) Add unlockable outfits as a reward for appeasing certain type of monsters. For example, unlocking a "succubus outfit" would require you to appease only hellish monsters, while banishing other ones. Similarly with the other outfits:
- circus monsters -> jester outfit / scenic outfit
- unholy monsters -> evil nun outfit (my favorite from the first Witch <3)
- fairy monsters -> a wicked version of Alice in Wonderland outfit
- hellish monsters -> succubus outfit
- banishing all monsters -> room maid outfit (cause you know... she "cleared" the mansion.. badum tsss xD )
- (?)special achievement (solving Agnet's puzzles) -> witch outfit
As for outfits, I see a possibility to expand the story in which evil forces would try to convince Chelsea to join their side while eliminating others (similar to the forces in Code: Pandora). Chelsea's choice would determine the ending of the game (not only the ending cinematic, but also the unlocked outfit).
To be honest I would rather have a whole new game, but heavily based on the first Witch than a remake. I would love to see the content I mentioned above in your future game.
Much love bro <3
In short.
(Expected at least in the Remake)
- Outfits show in Cutscenes
- A faithful remake with improvements from the other games added
- Tweak of the story to fit it with the rest of the games
- All DLC be with the remake and not another purchase
(What would be nice to see but not expected)
- Mod support (big thing for a small game but who knows what people can do, plus add their own tastes in to it for others to enjoy)
- More Scenes and enemies
- More costumes
- an Extra DLC added (New DLC could be paid for since it was not in base game)
- Rework of some ending scenes (for example the detective BJ ending or the boyfriend hand job one having more to it then a looping clip)
- More content overall to the original (Would pay a bit more for it if it doubles the original in content)
over all I hope it's a good "Remake" or whatever this would be classed as, if it's made from scratch with whole new assets and everything then it's fair to set the price to a proper new release you usually do, make it more expensive depending if you add twice as much content, if it's working off if the same code and a lot of the same assets then make it not to expensive since it's reusing old work, can bump the price again if there is new content added specially 2 times the content, a full on remake with more content I would expect to be the most expensive, I know pricing wasn't part of the topic but I think a good fair price should be discussed with remakes, 1 for the customer to feel like they paid a fair price and 2 to make sure the developer or developers get paid fairly and well on the work they put out, more work more they should be paid and the more I think it's fair to make the game a bit more pricey, (As long as it's not £70) I love the franchise and something about it's weird janky 2D yet getting better over the years is appalling to me and I have brought all the games other then the very first game the dev has on their steam page, whatever that game is, Started with Witch Halloween 1 and got every game and DLC so far. Just hope the remake is a good one and at least keeps the feeling and erotic story the original had but improved or better.
I would like an expanded corruption system in the remake. Each time Chelsea tame a ghost, something in her appearance will change -- gain a tattoo, change to a new and more sensual piece of clothing, or wear a new accessory. So if we have 12 ghosts in the remake, then Chelsea will have 12 levels of appearance change at max corruption.
It would be more interesting if each ghost gives its own, unique appearance change to Chelsea. In the original game, it didn't matter which ghost you tame. The first one would always give Chelsea the butterfly tattoo. I think the change each ghost gives should reflect the nature of the ghost itself, or its relation with Chelsea. Some ghosts, like the lady in the mirror seem to have a friendly relationship with Chelsea throughout the Witch series. She may gift Chelsea a new accessory to wear. Others like the Jester take an aggressive, dominating approach to her, so they may "mark" her with a tattoo.
Expanding this idea further, Chelsea's design from Witch 2 onward shows she had tamed some, but not all the ghosts in Witch 1. To get her facial tattoo, she would have tamed 8 ghosts. The remake can show us which 8 ghosts she tamed. In fact, make that the 'True End" of the game. Let the player figure out exactly which ghost to tame, and which to exorcise, so as to get Chelsea's Witch 2 look. Doing that progresses the story to the Doll House DLC, and the "True End" of that DLC leads us directly to Witch 2.
Speaking of the Jester, it would be great if you can expand on his story. What happened in Witch 1, that makes the Jester so obsessed with Chelsea for the rest of the Witch series? I would like to see their story expand and play out in the remake.
This, sir, I wholeheartedly agree.
Ну и такая мелочь как сценки где героинь натягивают в режиме от глаз того кто натягивает, иногда ракурс важен, позволяет ощутить не как просто "просмотр сценки", из-за "неудачных ракурсов" Сабвёрс пройти не могу.
