we'll be doing a rework of the stress system relatively soon to make it simpler, smoother and easier to manage. we'll also work on adding more fun ways for citizens to reduce stress including hangin' out on benches and enjoying decorative stuff (this part might take a bit to get to but im excited to get to adding that)
BUT in the meantime, stress is reduced in a few ways! folks should have enough homes to sleep in, taxes should be managed so they're not too high all the time, sufficient outhouses, salaries for military units and enough eating establishments and alehouses!
So pretty much enough down town and money to enjoy life?
first off - we definitely need to make that way more apparent to users. we have a new UI artist starting though so we'll be able to get things like this easier to understand!
so! in the current! if you enter map mode and click on the building it should show the radius of what it is serving. if your food buildings are maybe tooooo far away from where people are working or living it might not serve all of them in that range. each soup kitchen should also serve up to about 15 people so if you only have 1 soup kitchen but a bunch of people then it may not serve properly.
we'll also be making some changes to this based off of everyones feedback! thank you for playing and sorry about these issues - we'll keep working on lots of changes and adjustments while also preparing for the large content update in January!
Thank you for pointing that out that makes so munch sense now, I was wondering why I was having stressed people for no food. Possibly add some tutorial like tool tips in on a future patch. There appears to be a lot of nuanced mechanics that are not explained easily without exploring these threads for your responses.
