Can we choose our character?

I want to buy, and have seen the game on tik tok occasionally, but I wanted to know if we can customize our character/ change gender?

It's not the biggest deal, just can't personally get immersed if I'm not playing as a character I want to be.

Everyone has preferences, and if I'm locked to a character, I prefer male protags, while others prefer female protags. No harm if the gender can't be changed, Just curious where things stand in terms of character customization and options

Check back in later if you like the concept. If you want to be immersed in the game, you'll have a much more enjoyable experience when all of the features are ironed out.

To defend the team, the first of several playable monarchs, Runa, happens to be female; they aren't trying to lock you into a gender. Maybe they have hired another animator since then, but I read they have one animator and Runa has over 200 animations. The game is still in early access and there are so many elements their small team is working on.

Wait, you mean the characters name is Runa? Thanks, i might not remember it, ( poor memory ) But good to know it for now. :D
