Introduction

First, I want to make it clear that-- in no way am I a game developer or hold industry knowledge. I just want to share my opinions and personal hopes for the game. Already, the movement looks fluid and fun; the gameplay looks refreshing from your typical city builder; and - unlike a lot of games recently - the art direction looks unique and doesn't hurt my eyeballs.

On to the subject at hand, these are the features I'd really love to see in addition:

* Character Customization - Sometimes it's all you need to keep the gameplay fresh and personalized.

* Building Customization - I don't mean brick by brick type construction, I just think that being able to change colors on constructed buildings would be nice. Other city builders/colony sims have added things like banners (Kingdoms and Castles) to personalize one's world.

* Skilltrees or Weapon Variation - Having a hammer that does more damage, but swings slower; a lance that has the opposite traits; or even a bow for more ranged capabilities could keep things interesting. With or without these integrations, a skilltree could add adjacent layers for replayability.

* Boss/Large/Flying Type Enemies - For scaling, I feel that skyward is often the direction our eyes will go when throwing entities. In this instance, larger or flying enemies make sense to me.

These are just a few things on my mind, and I'd love to know what y'all think! Any of these suggestions could already be in the works or on the minds of the developers to add later on. As ambitious as I may sound, I am entirely aware that the game isn't even released yet: I just have high hopes and admiration for this game!

OHNO sorry it took me so long to get back to this!!!

Thank you so much for givin' us your ideas!! I really really really want to see what folks are looking forward to and bring all these ideas to the team. We might not get to some stuff right away, but this is super super valuable!

What I can answer right now is that every Monarch is unique and preset, a bit similar to Don't Starve but will have some rad color swap designs to them (we only have 1 animator so adding new monarchs takes a long while).

Building Customization could be super neat someday!

Oooo we got some nice ol' tech trees comin' along lets goooo! So far we do have a short sword, long sword, wrench, fists and feet and plans for more weapons - but this part comes down to just having one animator so adding more weapons takes a bit of time but we do want more!!!

For flying things I am filled with secrets - but I am super happy to have these secrets supported by someone asking for them huehuahehahhaehhe

again THANK YOU SO MUCH please let me know anytime if there's things you want to see!!!!!

(note: edited this to fix a typo)

Crazy that you even responded-- so thank YOU! It's great to hear back! I hope this sheds as much light on the game to others as it does for me.

If there's one other thing I can mention that's REALLY IMPORTANT: please, PLEASE take your time. People don't mind waiting for a solidly developed game, and especially knowing it's a small team. Go early access if you need to when the time is right and make it the game you most imagine it to be. Thank you again for reaching out!

All great features that will help out the game. Can I add a few more ?

1. A way for a "go to" button when either the town is under attack or if you want to "pin" a certain area of the map ?

2. See what the villagers think, need, want, to progress and keep them happy. ( I had one villager with a red bubble, but didn't know what he/she was thinking/asking ?

1. Yes! We're working on getting map markers in! It's gonna be super helpful and look really cute with the upcoming new HUD design which is is super pretty

2. Yesssssssssssssssssssssss that and an emotions system where the NPC's like, their animations are what their moods are kind of like Sims or Animal Crossing. So if they're tired they could be bent over sluggishly walking. The bubbles might be a bit easier to do for EA launch and the latter would come a bit later since we only have one animator on the team - but i agree bringing more life to this type of system will be really helpful
