We are on different accounts with the only thing linking them being on each others friends lists. We have our own different subscriptions to gamepass.
I am using the gamepass for pc to play the game on pc (windows 10) and my partner i'm trying to co-op with is on xbox using the gamepass version on his xbox.
I tried inviting them to my newly created world and they get "connection failed" every time they try to accept the invite. I sent him at least a dozen requests you tried joining off of and everytime it was the same result.
We tried it with him hosting the game from xbox and I can't see a active game of it when looking at the "join world" page within the game even though they were fully loaded into the world.
They however could see a active game in "join world" when I was hosting but they were unable to access it.
unfortunately because of that they were unable to get a playerlog, but will keep trying to reproduce it to figure out what could be going on with Playfab as we havent had this issue occur with Steam, only Xbox and Microsoft Windows Store so it is most likely an issue with Playfab.
i will keep you updated with when we can get this replicated and solved!!! please let me know if it just randomly solves as well and I'll let QA know just so they have more information!
Thank you for your quick response.
Is there a log of some kind I can send you that'd help find the issue? if so, where would I find the log?
Unfortunately I won't be able to see if the problem is resolved until sunday so expect my response then if the issue persists. I'll be sure to let you know if the problem resolves itself as well.
Was able to get around to trying to see if the game fixed itself. It did not. We are still experiencing the same issue.
I can't see their game but they can see mine. They can't join mine though whether I've set a password or not."Connection failed" is the message every time they try to join.
I've tried inviting them through the in game friendslist, i've tried inviting them through the xbox app for pc I downloaded the game through and have gamepass for pc active on, I've tried reinstalling the game and so has my coop partner, we've tried playing other games together via gamepass and have not had this issue with any other game.
We just finished doom remastered the same day we tried playing overthrown and had no issues with that.
I've tried creating a new world, i've tried using the continue button to launch the world, i've tried selecting the world through load game, nothing makes a difference.
Upon them trying to join and not being able to I closed the game. If there is a way I can send you some kind of error log let me know.
But I THINK if you hit win+r on the PC and paste the following
%AppData%\Local\Packages\MaximumGames.Overthrown_m3ge13txchggy\SystemAppData\xgs\000901F52DA9B257_00000000000000000000000078FA00F8\
it should maybe lead you to the folder where you hopefully maybe find a "Player Log" file and email it to support@brimstone.games so I can send it over to QA to see what's going on here with Xbox Consoles and Microsoft Window Store PC specifically
I have a Config folder and a Save folder located in \AppData\Local\Packages\MaximumGames.Overthrown_m3ge13txchggy\SystemAppData\xgs\00090000014A2387_00000000000000000000000078FA00F8.
I don't have 000901F52DA9B257_00000000000000000000000078FA00F8.
Config has:
Config.bdf
Save has:
A folder named 3FF3E13C
and in that folder are my .sav world files.
What of these do you need?
I can open the config and it's just your usual graphic settings.
I'll send in an inquiry to the QA team on how an Microsoft Windows Store PC player can access the Player Log file, but they're in the opposite timezone as me so it may take a while. I'm also not entirely sure if Microsoft Windows Store players can access Player Logs the way Steam users can but I will get back to you and let you know!
I'm using gamepass for pc on windows 10.
Alrighty, hopefully it's floating around in a folder somewhere lol. I'll check back here tomorrow.
