I also thought the game would need a map, but the progression is organic, you don't feel lost, you know where to go.
Hard disagree. Some of us have an inhumanly bad sense of direction. The game is fairly linear but getting turned around is one of the most frustrating things ever. It's not an interesting challenge or puzzle, it's just irritating gameplay. This game really needs a discover-as-you-go sort of minimap system.
I don't even find the gameplay hard. I think combat is fairly straightforward so far. Only navigating is an eternity of torture.
Edit: to be clear, a minimap doesn't have to be always on, you can make it just another check box in the "Game" menu.
No, traveler mode and helper items wouldn't help with this at all. I like the game in warrior mode, I just want to be able to see where the hell I am. Please. God. Make the game not annoying for us Zoros of the world and it will go from a 3.5/5 to a 4.5/5 for me
Let me give you a replay of my early experience; Wait, which train car is this again? Wait, I could walk across the web on this one just before couldn't I? Okay, that's the one on the right. How did i get on top of that one again?
He asked about a map, not supportive items or lower difficulty. And his right, I can't figure it out how to get out of the first area, it's a labirinth.
