Restoration/offline Mode?
Can we get an offline mode? this is insane to play for over 700 hours just to be taken away...

It is the fate of always online - I would like them to release a offline version for $20 or so. I would buy it.

A couple of Age of Empires fans made Age of Empires Online into a single-player experience and released it for free. I am not sure the viability of KoFII getting the same treatment, but I guess my point is that there is always hope. Search around and see how much interest the idea has.

If you live in the EU, there's a petition being spread around by Stop Killing Games that seeks to prevent these types of game shutdowns from happening in the first place, of which this game may qualify under.

you know what the path of least resistance is right? apple had to bow down and many other companies too. if this goes through they will do so as well. its easier and cheaper to comply then to outright stop production.

You guys are totally right, I think I lost it for a little bit. I'm not sure why I even said "useless". lol
Forgive me guys, I do hope EU regulations can stop gaming companies from deleting games from people's libraries after people paid money.
They should be required to do an offline patch/ download.
Yes if Apple was "forced", other companies can be forced to change as well.

It makes sense - like if people are going to be comfortable purchasing digital items it would be nice if companies were forced to ensure some type of offline mode going forward.
And as you mention if they want to recover money, sure, let them charge a bit for the "extra" work. With new regulations all those "terms of use" would be void.

I lost hope in NA, is the reason I never buy always online games anymore.
