also, the Candle is a great item to have with you for this achievement, and is moderately easy to find in shops once you've unlocked it (dark was the night challenge).
@mojo7771
you should try the Purist challenge. it makes the player focus on their own know-how and instincts. yes, TBoI is random with each playthrough, but if each playthrough were the same, it wouldn't make the game as challenging as it is. just gotta keep on truckin'!
also, don't call such a great game a waste of time. it has beautiful artwork, enticing music, even a tiny little story to it. three types of art brought together and made so that you can interact with it. you may have not enjoyed it, but the people who made it tried their hardest so that you might have something to do in your spare time. "thanks for trying your best" is all they want to hear.
When you arrive in the last level i feel like exploring rooms is ♥♥♥♥ and you have better chances keeping hearts and going directly to the boss .
I have no addon by the way , no trinklet ect , dunno if it makes the game harder.
Even if a game go far in difficulty there will be always people trying over over and wasting time to finish it.
Did the devs bet their own game here ?
I like difficulties when you can handle it with your brain and not with luck cause i don't have time repeting this game over and over.
It does. You do get the added bonus of trinkets, but they're negated (in my opinion) by the more diffcult substitute floors and random curse chance at the beginning of each floor. Had I known all this, I probably would've waited until I got Golden God before buying Wrath of The Lamb.
game can STILL be beat even with bad item since no its not only luck unless you really bad and is the only CHANCE you have to beat the game , your dodge skill matter ALOT what decision you made can save your run or ruin it or your knowledge about the game ennemy/boss bug/glitch item , synergy etc there alot of thing to know so stop whinning it's a game you meant to die and retry alot when you start , then if you feel you getting cheating by luck then go play Super Meat boy where its 100% platform skill but also a die and retry so you might find something else to cry about saying its waste of time...
Don't even start feeding these kinds of people. It's like argueing with someone who thinks FTL is about luck rather than reasonable risk taking.
yeah i know see all my reply they all short and didnt bothered to explain him something idc if he dont like it but idk in my last post i feel like pointing out some other thing that make Isaac not only a luck game
When i first meet Scrolex i just thought what a ♥♥♥♥ cause it's far in the game and it's the easiest boss.
In my youth i should have spend more time on this but i had my quota of "die and retry" games even if this game isn't mostly one of them because of random and that's why i first love it but the point is if you want to beat it you gotta need luck of course and a lot of time more than skills.
I"m gonna check the stats about that but sure i'm not wrong.
Anyway, my honest advice is to try for a long time, but take breaks if you get frustrated. Also, try not to get hit because that way you might be able to get acess to the Devil Room and some useful items.
So, as I said in the previous post, I found Epic Fetus on the very first floor in a secret room, but here's the screenshots from which items I had obtained after that.
http://puu.sh/3uNg1 Basement 2, met 2 beggars in this floor, which both of them gave me lunch, also found 1UP in the secret room.
http://puu.sh/3uNgs Character appearance in Basement 2.
http://puu.sh/3uO8z In the Cathedral, just before I'm off to beat myself up, I've gathered some loot along the way, not too useful at that point because most of them were 'Tears Up' items. Although I had 'Blood Penny' trinket just before I picked up the Curved Horn in Cathedral, and it was very useful.
http://puu.sh/3uO8e Isaac's appearance in Cathedral, I had killed 3 of the Harbringers so I had small Meat Boy to assist me as well. One Devil Room encountered where I found the Monster Manuel, which I saw pretty useless, since the familiars I summoned shot only one tear per missile, no matter what.
http://puu.sh/3uOe0 And finally this, to prove you guys I finished the challenge legitimately. Good luck on beating the final challenge, my friends! You're definitely going to need it.
ALWAYS GO INTO SHOPS.
Even if you know Greed is in there, he'll either drop money or a Steam Sale, which will help with more shops. The main objective is to get a map, to find secret rooms, or Candle, to beat bosses easily.
Shops. Shops and beggars.
