Cain any good?

Just unlocked him, im a new player, 9 hours and i have eve and cain unlocked. I heard eve sucks but im not sure about cain. Any tips? thanks

cain is hte most OP character in this game(literally impossible to lose the run). Well later d6 for isaac is op but srsly, you can't die as cain.

Cain is really good. When you only play the base game, then vsiting the Arcade Room and playing the Shell game for hearts as Cain has 55% chance of winning a round and using those hearts for making the Blood Donating machine exlpode to get the Blood Bag will give you keys, bombs and more heart containers in the process, the only thing Cain lacks at the beginning. Add only positive pills in the mix and you get a really strong character. By far my favourite character.

... He's very possible to die as. He's far from OP too. His benefit relies on a boring time sink, and it's unlikely the mixture of pills you -might- get are all great.

That said, I'd say he's still the second best behind Isaac with the D6 but it's not even a close second.

Yeah, she's a pretty good character but lacks starting speed. Luckily those are not rare.

Cain is good for his lucky foot because he has a higher percentage chance of winning the slot machine.

Also if your able to find mom's bottle of pills (This item is late in the game) You can use them to your advantage since having a lucky foot or a phd in pills means that no pill will be bad they will either be good (Like health up, tears up, speed up etc.) or neutral (Bad gas, explosive diahrea etc.)

Add to that if your able to get a reacharge item in the shop you can get your 12 heart containers pretty easily and maxed stats

If you are good it's literally impossible to die unless you want to. He has no downsides. I'd say it's actually boring to play him after you pass the newbie phase.

Aaactually, Lucky Foot makes the Shell Game, and the Slot Machine easier to win, and it makes it Impossible not to get something from a Fortune Teller, and as for Luck Up pills, that will only affect Tough Love, ever. 9 Luck ups and you fire all teeth, get a 10th one, and nothing will happen. Luck Down increases the chance for items to drop after rooms have been cleared.

Great character. Good base damage and speed, a bit less health than Isaac, and you won't unlock a starting item for him. But if you get a lot of pills, it'll compensate for it. He has low range tho, so you have to get a bit closer. I would suggest not passing the range ups (at least the first 1 or 2, depending on what you want), unless you find out early that you get the range up pills. Aside from that, he's pretty similar to Isaac in terms of strategy.

The first time I beat Mom, it was with him. He also helped me Mom's Heart the first few times (I remember a great run with Technology and Chocolate Milk). I hope you will have as much success with him as I did.

As for the discussion of luck, slot machines and fortune tellers (which may be a time sink, but are still useful, especially when you start playing Isaac), I'm fairly certain luck affect both machines, since I remember doing a run recently where I got 6 luck up pills with Cain, and when I played a fortune teller, it payed in many, many spirit hearts (I also had a lot of money). I haven't checked the files tho (and I don't intend to), so I don't know the specifics.

Cain is good, though i like quick runs and gambling depends on lots of money drops. Pills are great, and if you see a fortune teller i normally play it until i'm broke if i have 5 or under cents. For Eve, its advised to amass lots of soul hearts so you can go to only soul hearts for permanent ♥♥♥♥♥ of babylon state. If you are new, maggy is good. As with eve, deals with the devil are reccomended. Also go for the curse room with maggy

Cain is a very easy character to play and is worth buying. he doesnt have a lot of health so be carefull but he is very lucky.

cain is good because he does have good luck so you can win some of the games in the arcade

Cain's benefit is a better damage multiplier (when you get a damage upgrade, it gives more damage than if you'd get it with isaac for example) and the luck foot (You cannot lose to the fortune teller machine, all pills are good or neutral).

Maggy is decent, Eve (to me) is really bad, especially because of her small damage and the fact that ♥♥♥♥♥ of babylon doesn't always come in to play.

This is false. Luck down pills actually increase the chance of chest drops after rooms, not consumable items such as hearts, coins, bombs, keys...
