Best Character to play with?

So far i have
- Eve
- Isaac
- Maggy

I have curiosity to wonder which one is currently best because each run i face usually favours one type of stat (Speed, Health, Damage, etc) and so far i think Eve is the best due to Speed and the defence she has from the dead bird and WoB. If i play eve and i'm lucky enough, i can score health ups but then we have Isaac, a well balanced character who is slightly slower then Eve

Isaac is nice and all, and anything he finds is useful but he has no defence unlike Eve. Maggy is great with all that extra health and Yum Heart but her slow is terrible. If im lucky enough i can score speed up's from rooms and pass the rooms easily.

Maggy is hard though as monsters chase her and shes terribly slow and shes vulnerable to die.

Most runs i find i usually get Health Up's while Speed is considerably less, but yes, all stages are randomized so chances are "meh"

I hardly ever play as eve due to the lack of health. Maggy makes the earlier levels REALLY easy with yumyum being arguably the best space bar item in the game. As soon as you unlock Caine however, thats when you'll start winning the big bucks :P Isaac is pretty average till you get the D6.

The general consensus from previous posts is that Caine is the 'best' character with isaac being equally good after receiving the D6.

Thanks! But trying 55 Coins seems hard unless i can find the Dollar anywhere, and i hardly ever find casino machines

I consider Eve the WORST character to play as, worse than blue baby. My preferred characters are Isaac, Cain, and Judas in that exact order of favorite to 3rd favorite.

Out of your options, I would stick with Isaac. Eve is good, but it's really easy to die as her. Maggy is an amazing character once you learn to compensate for the speed debuff.

I would recomend unlocking Cain. The easiest way is usually to get around 10-25 coins and play any slot machines you find as much as you can. If you get a dollar, you instantly unlock Cain and 99 pennies.

Cain is probably my best character, because he starts with more speed and attack, making the 2 max health barely a problem. He also has the Lucky Foot at start, making all pills good, so get as many pills as you can with Cain! Good luck!

Ok, i still don't have Cain and i played Maggy and managed to get to Mom for the first time but i died. I found the Brimstone and i could fly but now looking at video's i did make tonnes of mistakes and Eve isn't good unless you have 1/2 a heart constantly and tons of Soul hearts.

Well i guess for now, Maggy is the way to go (Until i can unlock Cain)

Ah, i was also close to unlocking Samson as i missed 2 treasure rooms :(

Any thoughts on Samson or also a bad character?

Edit: I just unlocked Cain by saving up and using 2 of Diamonds ^_^

My first run on Cain and i defeated mom for the first time! :D

When ever I play Cain i have at least beaten mom. And did you know you can unlock the D-6 by killing mom's heart after dieing once with the ankh as another character ( I did it in the Doctor's revenge Challange Run)

Those are also my favourite characters.
I hate Eve. I accept ???/Blue Baby to be more of challenge character than anything else, but Eve is just bad. She starts with low health, almost no damage and pretty bad items, in my opinion. EVEn with the WoB activated, she only has Cain's base damage.

its not actualy not hard dont spend anything and focus on dodging not attacking

With mum camp in top right corner and always shoot at door underneth only move when you see shadow

Also for mums heart use bombs and when it is down to half health find a mob you can dodge and just focus on the heart

well, i am good with all of them, except samson, but ?????? is my first character to beat the chest with, I wouldn't put it at all like you did, pro isn't what character you play, it's how good you are with your best one, and I can wreck the whole game with all of them, escept samson, I hate that mofo

I agree, i find Eve more easy to play other then the other people, but with Cain unlocked i prefer Cain now.
