No so.sol file ! Please help !
Hi everyone ! Already posted something about my problems with the game this week (no fullscreen, no saving of options or progress...), and it seemed there was no solution. But today, I found a lot of threads about the so.sol file found in the #sharedobjects folder of the flash folder.
And there is the problem : this folder (#sharedobjects) doesn't even exist (I can see hidden folders for those who want to ask), and so, the so.sol file doesn't seem to be created either !
So ! How can I create such a folder (what program create it) ? If not, should I throw my PC through the window ? I need help please, I am pretty sure this is why my game doesn't want to work correctly !
Thank you in advance for any advices !

you tryed this solution ?

1) Windows key + R
2) Copy this in the run box: %appdata%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\
3) If there are several folders then search manually for one containing a localhost folder, or write "localhost" or "so.sol" into the search bar in to top left corner.
4)Copy so.sol to a safe place
5)Run CCleaner
6)Run Isaac
7)Go back to the "localhost" folder.
8) Replace the so.sol there, with the one you copied.
9)???
10)Profit.

if not go in your library right click game and do a checkup of cache frag them etc try all

I found a way ! I connected my steam account on another computer, and launched TBoI on it. Then, I copied and paste the folder of the so.sol on my PC... and... IT WORKS ! Finally ! The game save my progress ! The problem was just, i don't know why, that my computer didn't want to create a #sharedobjects file. So I made it manually !
DeViLMaN666, I must thank you for being so patient and for all your advices !

Yep, I am on Windows 7... that's kinda weird, but I think this is the fault of an Internet browser I tried just after I reformated or of another program that cleaned my flash... A friend told me that maybe my sol files use another path, in another folder (that I can't find...), and that it might be the problem.

Hey there, I have quiet the same problem. I do have a "#SharedObjects" folder. There I find a folder "#[random string]", as it should be. But in then there is no "localhost" and in opposition what I saw in some videos, there are only 3 folders in total. Yes the options to see hidden files/folders and system files are enabled.

I don't have another computer to copy and paste, just as the OP did. Any new solution after one and a half year?

It is really frustrating to have killed Ultra Pride 4 times. Steam only unlocks the achievements, after I restart the game, but at that point, the unlocked secret in the game itself isn't unlocked anymore. :madelf:

Hi there ! Wow it's been awhile I haven't connected on steam, and didn't saw other people had problems. If you don't have another PC, I can still try to install again TBoI (I have another comp' now) and give you a link to download the sol file. However it'll be a virgin sol file with no save on it...

i have the same problem since Afterbirth...i dont get it. I cant find any so.sol file anywhere. Made a full computer scan for it.

Be sure that your flash player settings won't block it. For me that was the solution.

> Global Security Settings panel[www.macromedia.com]
Add the localhost folder to be always allowed.

> Website Storage Settings panel[www.macromedia.com]
The one needed is called "local". It needs at least 10KB.
