I prefer compass if I have the dice, that way I can get to the treasure room faster, but otherwise map

Are you asking which we think is the better item?

I like the compass much better than the map. It lets me know where things are.

Knowing the map layout itself is not all that useful. You'll just be going random places trying to find what you're looking for, which is not much better than going blind.

i agree i also like some other people said i can go to the item room faster and not waist re rolls with the compass but with the map i might waste a bunch because i might think that the item room is some where then i go there and its like a sacrfice room and i wasted re rolls so compass al da way

It also shows the location of the secret room, where money and sometimes great items are. It usually pays for itself if you get it early.

Anyway I prefer compass overall, but getting either one is fine.

Definitely compass, because it's way more useful, especially in the later floors. Secret rooms are usually pretty easy to find even without the map.

Compass.. it's not hard to figure out which direction to go in.
