Eternal Life Achievement - How to obtain

Hello all.

Finally after hours i get that achievement.

Its not broken . . . you must obtain 7 eternal lifes in ONE floor and after that achievement appears

The best way is prayer card and items which are used for faster power.

In one floor? hmm..maybe, I got it from the chest and I used prayer card a lot (both battery passives = potentially one use per room with enemies) and got a bunch of eternal heart drops that floor. I don't think I actually got 7 in the one floor, I could be wrong though, there's definitely something odd about the achievement so this wouldn't surprise me much.

Apparently the 7 hearts have to be from actually joining 2 halves together. Using the level exit to make one doesn't count. So doing them all on one level would work, but it's not the only way. It would certainly take a ton of luck without the Prayer Card though.

I don't know, I somehow managed to get this achievement, but I definitely didn't obtain 7 health upgrades on one floor. I'm also not sure whether I actually joined two halves together 7 times - I didn't have Prayer Card or anything and just played the game in my usual way. Strangest things are happening...

I had this idea too. Maybe it does actually count upgrades you get when you go to another floor, but didn't count that before an update due to a bug? That would explain many things.

I just noticed that Florian uploaded the new video and said in the comments that he fixed the 7 health upgrades achievement. So it was something wrong with it after all! I suppose my theory is right.

Good to know it's fixed, even if I did get it via prayer card abuse and some luck before the fix. It was pretty dumb beforehand. The in-game secret counter still needs fixing mind, mine still says 99/112 despite being at something like 106 or 107 by now. The new secrets appear in the list, the counter just doesn't seem to go any higher.

I like the eternal-champion-type overlay and angel wings you get when you (presumably) get a certain amount of eternal hearts (presumably the same amount as for the achievement) - I don't recall seeing that the 1st time I got it the achievement pre-update...though it's possible transcendence/SMB Fan or other items I already had that 1st time had something to do with that I guess, as some visuals override others...it was very obvious when I got it with cain though, literally just as I started the chest with an eternal heart from the cathedral.

...actually, that free angel wings from eternal hearts thing seems to be bugged, after getting them in the chest with cain and finishing the run I started with them as eve in my next run! o,o Not gonna complain about free flight but there's no way in hell that's intended.

That said, that same run was blessed by the RNG anyway - eternal mullibooms killing everything for me on the 1st floor and tons of health pickups in the 1st 2 floors, including guppy's paw. Cave XL then had D6 and rerolls got me halo and mitre, relic from angel room too...later skipped dead dove in the eternal challenge room as I'd already got spirit of the night from curse room. Ultra pride. Dead cat without losing much health from devil room, guppy's tail from curse room to finish guppy form. A bunch of good pills. Enough eternal hearts a long the way to get the white overlay (which normally comes with the wings) by the time I'd reached cathedral. Forget me now from chest 1st room for additional free items, including a celtic cross and 2 more familiars (2x brother bobby, for some reason, may be related to holy water also being spawned at the same time, as I recall that caused a similar bug previously and there was several familiar types I never saw in the run) to join my floor 2 harlequin baby.

You need to get 7 hearts from eternal hearts in a single run, but not waste them (with devil deals). Not too hard if you find an eternal boss pretty much every floor.

That's very untrue, I've done it by simply getting one half for each floor.
