Eternal Life Question

Has anyone unlocked Eternal Life yet? I just did a run where I know I got at least 4 eternal heart combos in the chest, and I had Maggy's Faith since Utero 2, so I know I got at least 3 more going down, and had several other heart combos on previous floors too. Does a secret pop up when you get it?

Sometimes achievements don't pop until you quit/reopen the game, but I think that yes a secret should pop up when you unlock it. Maybe you hit the HP cap before getting seven upgrades and none past it counted?

There actually isn't an HP cap anymore. Once you hit 12, you get a third line of health ( You can actually see your extra health! ) I even got to the point where I got a 4th line of health.

Well, that's news to me. I have no other ideas then besides "it might be bugged", which isn't especialyl helpful.

Pretty sure this one is bugged. I had more than 10 hearts gained from eternal hearts (thanks early maggy's faith) and it didn't pop.

I just got it. I had Maggy's Faith, Prayer Card and Battery. I didn't actually count how many until it unlocked, but it popped up like any other secret does. (Also got some nice stat bonuses from it.) I was playing as the Blue Baby, if that helps.

I've gotten it too, I had to delete the achievements.exe MULTIPLE times today to get this DLC's achievements to unlock, very strange as I've never had the problem before.

Yes, a secret pop's up when you get it, if you're not awarded an achievement at the same time you may be having the same problem as I had.

yup same problem here, i got at least 8-9 hp up from eternal heart

Prayer Card + battery did it for me, but I had to gain like 12 heart containers before the secret unlocked.

Never unlocked for me ... maybe it had something to do with dead cat, but I got an upgrade every floor and on two floors I even got two upgrades ... :/

maybe you need 7 upgrade with 2 eternal heart and not after completing a floor ?

Just as a general question and possible awnser to this topic, has any of you received an in-game pop-up (Secret, as it is called) that says "Eternal Life!"?

I was playing as Isaac and had an Eternal Heart when I reached Utero 2, I gained the Health Up and a pop-up appeared saying "Eternal Life!". Isaac then became completely white and seems to have gained flight, since he now has wings...

Here's[www.dropbox.com] a picture, I didn't exactly caught the secret itself showing, but this is how Isaac looked after gaining the Health Up from the Eternal Heart.

Edit: This should be the secret[www.dropbox.com] that pops-up when unlocking the achievement. I had to reset the game to get the achievement, though.

If you obtain 7 or more total heart containers purely from eternal hearts in a single run (either from more to the next floor with an eternal heart or combining 2 eternal hearts) you will be given the achievement Eternal Life and be given flight for the rest of the run.
