shot speed up = good
this is for beginners. i am also a beginner myself (i have completed the game 5 times, though(i'm still bad)) and all of the tips that i see (almost) is the shot speed up makes your shots more unprecise and makes enemies more unpredictable. this fact is bullcrap (IMO!!!!) since when you get shot speed down, your shots travel at a snails pace and i once had my shots travelling slower than i moved. so, for beginners, ignore all of the guys that beg you into thinking that shot speed down is a good thing and shot speed up is the end of hte world. (and if any of you guys that have played 1000+ runs come here and say that shot speed up is bad, then f*ck you and f*ck you all to hell with your stupid f*cking "shot speed down is the greatest it helps kill satan!"(remember, THIS IS A BEGINNERS OPINION AND YOU CAN'T CHANGE THAT!!)

I have yet to see someone saying that decreasing shot speed is a good thing, that doesn't make any sense. No explanation needed here, it's pretty obvious.

shot speed is only bad if you have no damage and you try to fight Isaac or the blue baby. It makes life way harder since the more you shoot at him, the more he shoots at you. Otherwise, I try to up all my stats.

if you have guppy an army of flies is gonna pulverise everithing
I dont know why everyone is sayin that you have to be really lucky to get guppy but I get him in 50% of my runs just go throught the spiky doors in every level

yay! lump of coal! wait. increases tear damage the longer they stay on the screen. hm. well, shot speed down is still bad. (and holy sh*t i am glad that there was no one that corrected me saying that shot speed down is great)

Hm, sorry, but why is it still bad?

Shot Speed up IS bad if you're not:

A) Used to playing as Samson

B) Used to having knockback (really noticeable) on your tears

C) Used to having your tears move faster on screen.

D) In possesion of the Lump of Coal (Since it increases damage longer the tear is onscreen, Shot Speed makes it almost useless)

E) Going full YOLOSWAGIT mode (aka in the mood for no fvks)

However, it is good, if:

A) You are trapped and knocking enemies back can save you.

B) You are used to fast tear movement.

C) Again, you don't care what the hell you get.

Shot Speed Down IS TERRIBLE, unless you get lump of coal, good range, and/or Sacred Heart.
So yeah, that's my ideas.

2 things mate.

1. Shot speed down is great. People who have actually played the game and seen all the bosses would know that, you are only a beginner so you wouldn't know how much better it is, so that's excusable.

2. I checked your steam profile for your hours and achievs in the game. Turns out you don't even own the game. Nice cracked bro?

Shot speed is definitely useful against fast enemies that are only vulnerable from the back, such as Selfless Knights and the Mask of Infamy's second stage. I can understand why people might not like it though, considering there's slightly less room for error when shooting.

2 thing "mate"

1. ♥♥♥♥ you. i'm a beginner and thats it. nothing more. i even said that this topic is for beginners and you, who have played for well over 200 hours (not checked yet and will not check) come here and say that i am horrible for not knowing what i must do to kill enemies

2. yes i may have cracked it, but that doesn't mean i am a horrible human being. i would love to support the devs, but sometimes you just don't have the moeny to and just want some entertainment. also you could just crack a game to see how it feels and then buy it if you enjoy it.

also you don't have to b*tch about it.
