What does 'Prayer Card' do?

I found it as Eve when she was demonised (cause I died but had the Satanic life giver thing that only gives you ghost hearts) and was two floors away to Mom, until I beat Monstro II and a holy door opened. I got the card from it and waited until I was in a dire situation. I used it and when nothing happened a friggin fly killed me!

What does it do?!

The Prayer card gives you an eternal heart at every use (having two ethernal hearts at the same time = 1 hp up).

Eternal hearts' main use is if you carry it to the end of the depth it turns into a full heart container, and most depths you can leave them on the ground until after you've beaten the boss, then go back and get it before resuming (every depth except depths 2 and womb 2 I think)

If you have a smart phone just search in the play store isaac and there is an app that tells you what all of the items/cards/power ups do :)
