It's nice to talk about topics like Blue Baby, D6 and Polaroid, but still by the time average player unlock first of those 2 things, he has pretty deep knowledge of the game already. Guide is pretty robust so it's easy to get lost in it if there are too many things. So maybe dividing it into 2 guides, one about Isaac basics, second about advanced tricks. Same applies to Sacred Heart, just for a different reason, it's very very rare item.
Second, in my opinion, part about Beggars and Devil Rooms should be expanded a bit, especially since they are linked together tightly and Angel/Devil items are one of the most powerful in the game. Mostly I missed these things:
- blowing up beggars increases chance of Devil Room spawning, maybe mentioning other things that increase the chance
- Devil Beggar has same item pool as Devil/Angel Rooms. So does any beggar spawned by Judgement Card in Devil/Angel/Curse Room, maybe little details about how this works. I find it more interesting for less experienced player than guide how to steal from Devil Room with D6/Blue Baby.
- mentioning that Devil/Angel Room can't spawn on first floor unless it's XL, but still can be accessed by Joker card and little more about when Angel Room replaces it (e.g. number, the fact that it can spawn without having any Devil Room in current game under special circumstances)
It could also use little guide about how you can use rocks to build yourself a little bridge over small gaps. And maybe some default strategies for early unlocked characters, or at least their base stats and advantages/disadvantages.
But I have to say it's pretty nice guide.
I would disagree with your first paragraph about they average player have deep knowledge of the game by Polaroid/BB though! I know a fair few players who have beaten the game at least up to Blue Baby with just pure luck and/or determination rather than actual knowledge of the game. Though you are probably right about the time they unlock the polaroid! Still, you never know!
I'll also add bits on stuff like using rocks for bridges and base stats, possibly some strats too! Thanks :)
