Steam Deck still working?
Does Dominion still work on the Steam Deck? The reason I ask is that Dominion used to work on my Linux with full Steam Proton software but a month or two ago it stopped working. Given that the Steam Deck depends mostly on the same Linux libraries as Steam on Linux that it would work on one but not the other seems unusual.

Yes, it still works fine on Steam Deck, I just tried it.

Are you getting a specific error?

Crashes on launch on Ubunutu 22 and 24. Error message says:
assertion failed 'gClient == NULL'
EnterCleint (C:\x\ax2017\Jams\Shared\TggGame\code]GameApp.cpp:142)

That is unfortunately a bug with the game itself, not Linux's fault. This other person got the same error: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1131620/discussions/1/4199112724335236076/

Looks like it has something to do with a specific card interaction in your current save game. You could either hope that the devs get around to addressing it (sending them logs may help), or you could delete your save data to fix it.

If you do, you may have to log in in-game again, and this may reset your high scores or streaks (I'm unsure what extent of that is backed up to your account). Your save data is located here:
~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/compatdata/1131620/pfx/drive_C/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/TempleGates/Dominion/profiles.xml

Has nothing to do with my current save game as I have none, the game crashes on launch all the time. Several months ago it worked on Ubuntu, I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and the way Steam works on Linux all your preferences and save games get deleted when you uninstall unless the game was designed to work with Linux and save outside the fake C_drive and fake AppData directories Steam creates on Linux for every game.

I was getting the same error. I got it to work by forcing the compatibility to use Proton 8.0-5. Your mileage may vary. Oddly when I went back to a 7.x proton version the error popped up again. So you might have to play around with it.
