But would like to point out that the portal to next dungeon is sitting right on top of the boss chest. Accidently entering the portal while picking up loot.
The bad news: As a procedural rogue-lite action RPG, it's probably not meant to ultimately be easy, and when it does reach its final form, I wouldn't expect it to be any easier than it is now... surely more "balanced", but again... it's early access. There's still a lot to be done.
My advice: Try the campaign mode (which by the way also isn't done) anyway, for now. You'll probably find it easier, and it still lets you jump into random dungeons/quests with modifiers at any time, with adjustable difficulty.
Obviously I'm playing a melee character.
You can counter it by dodge roling. He always does that attack when you get close. So when you see his bow dissapear you can be sure first thing he will do is that attack.
You can use alchemy tables. After every 5 dungeons you get a shop space with alchemy table and mercenary shop.
Most of the time I die myself at lvl 5-6.
Well i was going to, even killed my lvl 42 dungeon runner on purpose to start fresh, but apparently the game doesnt like being recorded. Crashed a billion times :D
I will believe it when I see it.
Since I have the feeling they increased the damage now (added weapon damage on items), I will try again later this week but if I end up dieing again at lvl 7 or below, that will be it for me. I spend 16 hours in dungeon runner only to get to lvl 7. If i'm the only one to think the game is poorly balanced, it will just be one (hopefully temporarily) negative review. Seeing similar feedback in other topics now though.
"maybe they have a point" :)
Next patch the dungeon runner scaling reduced, difficulty jumps in levels of 10
and boss magic and physical damage scaling reduced slightly.
