Weird Aka Manto Behaviour

I was doing "Escape Artirst"
Aka Manto spawned with the ghost girl, but instead of chasing me and screaming, (cause i was close to it) it was walking and laughing, during 5 minutes or more it was doing the same thing (this with the constant chase theme and japanese words)
Thanks to that i did the achievement without problem, but can someone explain me. What cause that behaviour it was scarier than running (it was in his first form)

I think it was a random glitch. I had something similar, when I started a game and I got out of the ventilation to the room with cables Aka Manto spawned on top of me, it startled me and I was ready to run, but all he did was moonwalk out of the room and walk away.
