Monaco

What if you don't have anyone to play with?
If I have no steam friends who have Monaco, is it still worth getting? I know it's a good coop game, but I don't know if it's worth it otherwise

Yes! Cleaning it out alone is still fun. Also the random people I tend to find online are great! No annoying little kids. Most of them are really mature and just want to have fun playing the game together.

Plus, if you don't have friends who own it now...be prepared to make friends that do own it. Great community!

If you completely ignored co-op and just tried to clean out all the levels on your own, you'd still have a blast and get a lot of mileage out of the game. Some levels might be pretty difficult though. And yeah, like others have said, there's a really great community for Monaco, so you should definitely at least try playing with others too.

Worth it and you can always find people to play with on here.

There is also a chat room you can use to meet people to play with. Go to http://monacohideout.com/# and click on Chat at the top.

The game is top of my wish list. I've considered buying it for $14.99 which from the reviews definitely seems fair, but I plan on buying a 4 pack. So, I am REALLY hoping this has a discount on the Steam Summer Sale (whenever that happens), because a 4 pack of this would likely be the very first thing I buy.

What is my point? You'll likely get a lot more players as soon as this goes on sale as either part of a summer sale, daily sale, midweek madness, etc.

The cool thing about Monaco is not only does it have online matchmaker coop, but by design it works very robustly as a single player game as well. No other coop game I can think of does this, at least in an elegant way.

I'm in the same boat Dwin, I've liked the sound of the game, I'm just waiting to see if it his the sale

Nah not really tbh. I made this very same thread on the games release, as I didn't have any friends that were going to get this. A bunch of people replied "yes" its alot of fun alone.

While it is a great game, after a few hours I got bored alone and just gave up. At its heart/core its a party/multiplayer game.

I think single player depends on what kind of player you are. But I do agree, it is way more fun in multiplayer. The community is great, though. So you can easily hop in and play with random people. I had a lot of fun that way.
