Monaco DirectX Issue

As soon as I start the game I get the error message titled "DirectX Issue" with the description "Could not create a Direct 3D Device in any desierd mode; this will prevent the game from running" - I've already verified my game cache and couldn't find anything about this online. Any help would be appreciated. :)
