glock vs hipoint, which one is worse?
for me its glock, i will take a hi point over glock anyday of the week only because of the safety feature.
i got so used to turning on safety on a gun that when i forgot i had a glock i autofired my glock on me tighes, twice in a row.

I will be discussing both guns strictly in the context of Reciever 2. What they're like IRL is irrelevant here.

I would say that the Glock is a weapon that rewards skill, whereas the Hi-Point is more forgiving for newbies. The Hi-Point is thus "better" for a beginner, but the Glock is "better" for an advanced player.

Now, in general, I've gotten into the habit of always holding down the key even for guns that are safe (unloaded etc.), so I don't shoot myself as often. It's simply something you should be doing to begin with! That said, the Glock's lack of in-game safety makes it really easy for a newer player to accidentally shoot themselves relative to the Hi-Point, which is significantly more forgiving because it has both a button AND mag safety. I've definitely killed myself with a Glock before (at least when I was newer at the game), but never with the Hi-Point.

However, the Glock has much easier sights to aim with than the Hi-Point, has a lighter trigger pull so you can fire faster, has significantly better magazine capacity, and has a lower chance to go out of battery (as per the guide on weapon glitch data). It is a strictly better weapon IF you're experienced enough at the game that you are no longer accidentally shooting yourself.

In short -- the Hi-Point is worse by all metrics except one: relative safety for a newbie. When you're still learning the ropes, yes, it is less frustrating to use than the Glock, because the Glock demands extra attention when drawing in a way that the Hi-Point does not. For an advanced player, it underperforms. That being said, the Hi-Point will still kill turrets and drones just fine and I've won runs with it plenty of times.

For what it's worth, my least favourite weapon in the game is actually the Detective Special. The sights are extremely frustrating to use at a distance and I find I miss with it more often than any of the others. That said, I've gotten at least one star in the compound for every challenge with every weapon in the game, and have won a run at Liminal with every weapon in the game. There's nothing in the game so awful that it can't get the job done when the chips are down, and that's something I like about Receiver 2.

Modern Hi-Points are pretty reliable and Demolition Ranch proved how the Hi-point is super durable, to the point It being able to take a bullet to the slide and still being able to function.

Sure, Its ugly and may not be the most pleasant of shooting experinces, but if you want something extremely rugged, relatively reliable and cheap, the Hi-Point is the answer.
you make a fair case actually yeah, i just dont like them cuz they dont feel nice to use. they can be good i guess they just arent for me.

In my opinion the hipoint is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass, it fails every 10 shots when I try to use it

hi point also has a fairly stiff trigger in the game, have to hold the button for it to register
I've gotten used to just holding holster. Neither are bad. Glock's capacity makes it one of the most versatile weapons and Hi Point tends to just work, despite the firing pin delay. Honestly, the worst gun is snubnose. Wastes so much ammo missing everything.

yeah the detective special is kinda off. guy in the tapes even mentions this is because the sights are so close together

Definitely Hipoint, for Glock just use the slide lock before you holster

With the glock you just gotta get into the habit of holding the tab key instead of tapping. The hi-point is mechanically bad with its unwieldiness and tendency to double feed which is the worst jam.

Screw the Hi-Point. Terrible ergonomics do add up; low ammo capacity means you get less rounds from magazines, the awful trigger pull and poor sights mean you often miss, and huge weight gives it a lot of aim fatigue. Glock is immensely better even without the manual safety.

Rack the slide back and lock it open, and hold the pick up round button.
You have to drop the slide to use it but its better than legging yourself

also imma add something here, ive legged myself more with the SAA simply from forgetting to halfcock it and then sprinting or jumping suddenly. the glock aint the only culprit XD

Glock - more ammo, ability to shoot in fully automatic mode.
HP - safety.

That's it. The HP itself visually looks like an extremely ugly pistol. It's too thick.

Glock is great if you take your time learning to holster and unholster weapons carefully. Hi-point on the other hand has terrible sights, terrible aim fatigue and low mag capacity. Also considering how often it malfunctions it might as well be considered a bolt action pistol. I somehow get horrible luck spawning with terrible hi-points that malfunction constantly. Easily the most malfunctions out of any pistol. Idk if the thing is more malfunction prone or just my luck (or confirmation bias). Second place on the worst gun tier list is the Colt Detective Special. No malfunctions but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you cant hit a broad side of a barn past 15m.
