glock vs hipoint, which one is worse?
for me its glock, i will take a hi point over glock anyday of the week only because of the safety feature.
i got so used to turning on safety on a gun that when i forgot i had a glock i autofired my glock on me tighes, twice in a row.

I will be discussing both guns strictly in the context of Reciever 2. What they're like IRL is irrelevant here.

I would say that the Glock is a weapon that rewards skill, whereas the Hi-Point is more forgiving for newbies. The Hi-Point is thus "better" for a beginner, but the Glock is "better" for an advanced player.

Now, in general, I've gotten into the habit of always holding down the key even for guns that are safe (unloaded etc.), so I don't shoot myself as often. It's simply something you should be doing to begin with! That said, the Glock's lack of in-game safety makes it really easy for a newer player to accidentally shoot themselves relative to the Hi-Point, which is significantly more forgiving because it has both a button AND mag safety. I've definitely killed myself with a Glock before (at least when I was newer at the game), but never with the Hi-Point.

However, the Glock has much easier sights to aim with than the Hi-Point, has a lighter trigger pull so you can fire faster, has significantly better magazine capacity, and has a lower chance to go out of battery (as per the guide on weapon glitch data). It is a strictly better weapon IF you're experienced enough at the game that you are no longer accidentally shooting yourself.

In short -- the Hi-Point is worse by all metrics except one: relative safety for a newbie. When you're still learning the ropes, yes, it is less frustrating to use than the Glock, because the Glock demands extra attention when drawing in a way that the Hi-Point does not. For an advanced player, it underperforms. That being said, the Hi-Point will still kill turrets and drones just fine and I've won runs with it plenty of times.

For what it's worth, my least favourite weapon in the game is actually the Detective Special. The sights are extremely frustrating to use at a distance and I find I miss with it more often than any of the others. That said, I've gotten at least one star in the compound for every challenge with every weapon in the game, and have won a run at Liminal with every weapon in the game. There's nothing in the game so awful that it can't get the job done when the chips are down, and that's something I like about Receiver 2.

i choose glock any day, its just about knowing which gun you have and how to safely operate it
(plus if we talk IRL, the glock is not that easy to shoot yourself with the trigger safety does a good job)

yeah but i kinda hate changing my playstyle just because of one gun.
revolvers i uncock hammer, semi auto safety on, but glock? its out of place every time.

ah with revolvers maybe dont always uncock, the SAA will fire when uncocked because it leave the firing pin on the bullet, SAA should be left on half ♥♥♥♥.

The Glock is actually really solid if you are mindful with its handling. Accuracy and ammo-capacity/magazine are great.

yeah the games just all about learning each gun and the way they work

Glock is one of the best guns in the game: accurate, simple, reliable, enormous magazine, full-auto mode (admittedly not worth using).

Hi-Point is one of the worst: small magazine, worst sight alignment and sway, more frequently fails to fully chamber.

pretty accurate to the IRL counterparts in that respect.

Irl, Hi-Point's price makes It very competitive with a glock

99 dollars for a gun and 2 magazines? And free lifetime warranty even if you arent the original owner? How can a glock beat that?

it beats it with better reliability, you get what you pay for. 9 times out of 10 the hi point will find a way to disappoint you, a good option if your short on cash yes, but still a bad gun
i feel this might start into a huge argument, which is what i was hoping for : ).
but a friendly reminder to keep this civil and light hearted, also i would hope to see more game related opinions rather then just IRL stuff.

Modern Hi-Points are pretty reliable and Demolition Ranch proved how the Hi-point is super durable, to the point It being able to take a bullet to the slide and still being able to function.

Sure, Its ugly and may not be the most pleasant of shooting experinces, but if you want something extremely rugged, relatively reliable and cheap, the Hi-Point is the answer.
