The Colt SAA...
Anyone figure this beast out? I can't for the life of me get anything to happen with either default or custom keybinds outside of spinning the barrel and occasionally loading a single round that gets fired off cause I'm holding left mouse button the entire time lol.

When you open the loading gate and the hammer is down, quickly tap F to half-c o ck, and if you time it right, the chamber will be in line with the gate and you can eject or load a cartridge. If you get it wrong, you'll half to dec o ck and try again. Repeat 6 damn times and you're fully charged.

lol there we go....now on to the next equally as crucial part...how do you reload this weapon without accidentally firing off the chambers you've loaded previously?

It shouldn't fire so long as you don't press M1. If you're half-cocking the hammer to spin the cylinder that shouldn't fire off a round. I guess practice makes perfect. I haven't used the SAA yet, but from the other revolvers it seems like M1 is the only way to get the firearm to shoot -- aside from negligent discharges when you holster

Don't touch the left mouse button. Make sure the gun is only half-♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This is the procedure for reloading an SAA full of spent shells:

1. Tap F to half-c o ck the hammer
2. Press E to open the loading window
3. Hold V to eject the shell that is in line with the ejector rod
4. Use the mousewheel to rotate the cylinder 60 degrees until you hear it click
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the cylinder is empty
6. Press V to insert a shell
7. Same as step 4
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the gun is loaded
9. Press R to close the loading window
10. Hold F to fully c o ck the hammer

She's ready to fire.

I recommend those steps, but at the end when cocking it, HOLD the cocking button down, hold the trigger as well, then let off the hammer cocking button, to decock make it safe.
That's my loading procedure with my .22LR/magnum clone of an SAA. I don't keep it ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unless I'm actually on target or just about to bring it up.

I'm totally up to speed now...it's not a weapon that you can just automatically understand in comparison to the other guns really but I got the hang of it now thanks peeps

I couldn't get the mouse-wheel to spin the cylinder at all. I had to manually index by cocking and de-cocking.

you can only spin the cylinder if the hammer is half-♥♥♥♥♥♥.

That being said, my personal tip for reloading that gun is to fire only one or two shots and reload after them.

Since the chamber rotates clockwise, you actually get to remove and replace those 1 or 2 spent shots early instead of remembering how many more shots you have left or checking all chambers with a full cycle.
Assuming a fully loaded SAA:

1. Shoot 1-2 times
2. Tap F to half pull hammer
3. Tap E to open loading window
3a. if ONE shot fired, mouse wheel up to rotate cylinder once
3b. if TWO shots fired, leave the cylinder as is
4. hold V to eject casing
5. tap Z to insert new round
5a. rotate the cylinder (if more chambers need reloading)
6. tap R to close the loading window
7. hold F to ready next shot.

also, if you're absolutely low on ammo and only want/can afford to load one round at a time:

1. empty all the chambers
2. load one round in and close the loading window
3. spin and "click" the chamber FOUR times.

the next time you hold F to ♥♥♥♥ the hammer, the round will line up.

for additional bullets, subtract one "click" (three clicks for 2 rounds, 2 clicks for 3 rounds and so on)

This reload time is exhilarating! I've never felt a tension like this before. That's so different from simply changing a clip!
I love to reload during a battle. There's nothing like the feeling of slamming a long silver bullet into a well greased chamber...
