So with one of the floppy disks (Hacker Life For3ver), you find a code that reads...

Vlqsb olv idtgw. Bcip sui nmmn. Xywb eti LZGVAYITW. Gjyi dljg ma v pzw. Bswv miidq lw psb tslj hrgqg. Ri rjh xji miidq.

So I ran it through a basic substitution cipher solver, and it didn't come out as readable text. Then I tried a Vigenere cipher solver. The text says this...

Shoot the qapes. They are lies. They are DECEIVERS. Your life is a lie. Your enemy is not your enemy. We are the enemy.

I'm not sure what to make of this. But it's interesting. I guess I'll have to play some more to find out what it means.

The key for it is "DECEIVERS".

"qapes" is probably supposed to be "tapes", but the devs messed up.

As pointed out, that "i" should have been "l" (lowercase "L"), since it's not at the start of the sentence.

Hum. Finished a level destroying the tapes, but nothing out of the ordinary happened. It resolved the same as if you'd collected them. I wonder if you have to go through the whole thing only destroying tapes, or if it's just an alternative for people who don't want to receive.

No, it's correct, the i in 'tapes' is actually a lower case 'L'
