working on putting together 1-2 sets. I have a hunters fang radiant set to redemption catalyst but I noticed I don't have time to find the glowing asteroids bc I'm too busy shooting enemies. I also have castiel's protection and the legendary sensor that allows corrosion damage to affect 3 more targets. I run a IV class gunship and my preferred primary weapon loadout is hunter's fang, a flak and a hitscan weapon(so no scatter guns or blasters). What sets are good for me?

I find most of the sets to be useless. It feels more impactful to just toss Sovereign on any weapons to further boost their damage.

Also, if your primary weapon is Hunter's Fang, how do you not have time to shoot asteroids for the Redemption set? The gun literally aims itself, lol.

Hey Armtriangle

Here's some real advice. Check out my Bomber guide. But be warned, it makes the game so easy its boring even for Lunacy 2000 runs.

If you want stick with the Gunship your kinda off to a OK start.

3 piece redemption is pretty good. On my junkyard spare parts, rat rod gunship I run with

Rapid Eradicator : 10% bypasses shield, Non crit hits increase crit hit by 2% until made, 20% bonus damage on all Ancient Aliens LOL

What you really want though is 10% bypass shield, 10% bypass armor. And if you are having trouble staying alive then 30% of hull damage done is hull repaired.

Other wise the 20% bonus on all Ancient Blah blah blah works great on rifts because everything is Ancient controlled.

Marksman Soul Seeker. with 10% bypass shield, 20% chance to reflect, and 10% chance area damage.

I usually run this with a +30% energy damage catalyst but sine the Titans DLC came out I switched to Evolution cat. To get to 1000 kills just find a reliquary with Infinite Primary weapons and open a easy rift. Kill everything using your 1 weapon of choice. At the boss fight, don't kill the boss just kill all the easy ship. They will eventually stop spawning. Then... and here's the kicker. LET THE BOSS KILL YOU!!! This resets the rift but not your kills during the rift. Then just rinse and repeat. The reliquary doesn't disappear either and you get infinite energy again. You usually get about 50 kills a rift. Only kill the little guys.

Anyhow, be prepared to re-roll your attributes hundreds of times get these 3 useful ones and hopefully another damage adder on top of the 20% from evolution.

In this way you wind up with a Thermo gun that just destroys the Hunter's fang with the help of the 3 piece of the puzzle:

Redemption Optimized Dogmatic scanner with, cat Attrib Amp, 632 Firepower, Gauss cannon + 20% and Coil gun + 20%

Once again you may have to re-roll this ALOT or you might get lucky.

You Gunship MUST HAVE a coil gun turret passive!!!!

Next, 2 Piece Vigilante set

Rapid Judge: 10% bypass shield, 10% bypass armor, and some other damage adder or 30% fix hull if you can roll all 3 Evolution cat or 30% Damage cat

Powerful Jury: Last 3 100%, Fire free on Crit, and Cannot be intercepted
You can easily get 1000 kill with this using the bomber and the exploit I mapped out above and just switch it to the gunship when finished.

The Gunship has so much armor don't use a shield. No seriously, us the Legendary SH 8495 with Firepower, Precision, Utility and Expertise. If you get on with Resistance or Structure just dismantle it. They're useless here.

If you don't have one use the Optimized Blightmonger shield with primary weapons damage adder attributes or the restore protocol

I had an old Omni Magnus laying around so I slapped it on to use when my turret was down.

So your turret doesn't go down very often use a 2 piece Tides of Silent see set

Optimized Triton core with Firepower, 10% Ult duration and what ever other damage adder

I stole a Radiant Legendary Terminal Velocity off my Striker and shoved it on my gunship and the results are hilarious..

Finally, BOB (Blightmonger cargo if you don't have BoB with 25% damage added to rockets when MDS is active)

Perks? Exit, Downtime, Crit, Ulterior, Explotation, Symphony, (I never need Close Call)

Devices: EMP, MDS, Corrosion, Annihilator. (With Terminal Velocity no need for teleport or Boost)

If you have a Ragnarok use it instead of the Omni Magnus for faster kills but you'll have to be good at dogging missiles.

Hopefully that helps. But what do I know. I've only done a little over 1400 Lunacy 2000 rifts and have 1600+ hours of game time

Good luck

That should do it. W

Forgot to mention. If you want to reveal redemption turrets just fly into the asteroid or crystal fields and kill your enemies there. The explosions caused by these perks will cause enough collateral damage to unleash the turrets although with the DLC it feels like the amount of turrets you can have in rifts got nerffed. Last time I tried it in high risk areas I was still able to conger up about 50 turrets or so. You can also mess with the colorblindness and gama correction setting to better see the glowing rocks.

I prefer the Tides of Siren's Sea set for my gunship which increases your ULT generation, doubles your shield capacity, deals increased damage with your primary weapons and increases your boost speed whenever the ULT is active. Remember that you can switch your ULT on and off, you don't need to let it completely burn down. Using it in this way means it's available whenever I need to recharge the shields (turning the ULT on completely recharges the shield). I also tend to use the Union Eclipse Umbra Blaster and Penumbra Flak set which gives an extra 30% damage to primary weapons for 5 seconds when you switch weapons. I typically use a Synchro Pulse Laser along with those 2 weapons which gives me a ton of energy damage and I usually rely on my missiles and rockets for anything that has a lot of armor. For my ship passives I like to use Coil gun and 15% increased boost speed, any other passive is just gravy.

"I noticed I don't have time to find the glowing asteroids bc I'm too busy shooting enemies."
They are easier to spot in Asteroid rich Sectors like Khait and Drake. After you see them a few Times, you learn quickly to identify them.

Here is an extreme Example, was surprised by that myself XD

Don't bother with more than 2 Tides. Because the SB8495 legendary ignores damage based on the percentage of damage that would of been done and not just a solid state hit point # it grants you way more protection than any doubled, overcharged shield in the game, during rifts, if you stay close to as many enemies as possible. Plus you will generate 100% extra energy back to your ULT by using the Ulterior Motive perk keeping your Coil gun turret running around 90% of the time. The ability to keep your ULT coil gun turret up and running, killing enemies before they can damage you works better than protecting yourself with a doubled shield that only recharges when you use your ULT. Another way of saying this is that the Coil turret "Protects" you for a much longer time than a doubled shield that only recharges when your Ult Coil turret is activated. Once the Ult is done you have to try to survive with a Shield that has a handicap until the Ult is ready again. But if you don't believe me and still insist on using more than 2 tides with a shield at least switch your perk to Critical Faculty.

End set count

2 Tides
3 Redeemer
2 Vigilante
2 Bightmonger

If you don't have a SB8465 its actually better to use NO SHIELD AT ALL and the perk Ulterior Motive

Also Terminal Velocity works way better than the Teleporter or Boost devices. So once you have Terminal V, ween yourself off the teleporter and use Terminal by pumping the boost to keep it near 90% and then using Latent Thrust to dodge. If you find that too hard then just boost and rotation strafe (rotate your sliding hat stick not circle strafing) and Just let Latent boost happen automatically when it does. You don't even have to try to dodge using this technique but hitting something solid head on can still kill you so stay in the open. For some reason the AI of the game can't figure out how to hit you. But anytime I see the red lazer pointers I immediately brake-off and use the Marksman Thermo and targeting to find and kill them.

With the new DLC ULT re-chargers can keep the Coil Turret 100% of the time.
If your feeling luck ditch the blight monger gear and try re rolling the SB shield with a Chaos Cat. But be warned. The risk usually doesn't outweigh the reward.

thank you for the gear advice , my gunship tier 4 is equiped with redepmtion 3 piece set and also with sh8495 , also my autocannon and pulse laser both has a 10% change to ignore shield , but even so the best i can do is rift 1500 , y tryed rift 2000 and i simply do not damage to the boss , and if the boss is an ancient one, her simply destroys me because with shield perk i can´t block that annonying yellow wirlh laser

any advice? i will upload a video showcasing my gear item for my gunship and the bomber , both of my fav ships in the game, also the interceptor i like it so much!

i see , i already own the sb8465 on my bomber/gunship/interceptor

but why only 2 sea of syden tyres? i put four of them, because with four you gain +20% damage without shield , it is worth it?

in this video i show my equipment of my gunship/bomber and interceptor

please can you watch the video and tell me what i need to change in order to rift 2000 as easy as posible? or at least do rift 1500 without suffer too much

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6rTOlw5Vz0

the best i can do is rift 1500 , and even so sometimes that fcking detonator drone simply one-shot me , even with a bomber/gunship , i´ve tryed rift 2000 but can´t pass stage 1 , i simply suffer too much and always run off of weapon energy/booster and simply everything destroy me
Intamiantis Oct 13, 2024 @ 10:09pm
OK in the first couple of seconds of the video I thought you should easily be crushing it but then I think I can narrow it down to a couple of basics philosophy's to building.

I am a very aggressive player. A good offense is a great defense. What I mean is, in 2k rifts I try to build the Gunship to kill enemies before I have to dodge their weapons soooooo

The coil turret is my shield and I need it up and running as much as possible.

Passives first.

Coil Turret of course best one
Coil Turret will also attack mines Keeps you alive
30% bonus against drones This applies to every way you do damage
15% boost speed Always there if you need it or not

Perks

Close Call If you are having trouble staying alive
or
Exit Strategy With no shield or SB DEF MASS doesn't work

Downtime Warrior Keeps primaries running
or
Play it Safe If you are having trouble staying alive and don't
mind switching weapons

Crit Happens
Exploitation
Symphony of Destruction

In my opinion these do the most damage the way I fly on most ships.

Ulterior Motive The reason we run SB8495. It limits time between
ULTS

Devices

EMP: hard reset
Corrosion Virus: Mercy Kill
Annihilator Virus: R-Naught
MSD: Sustenance Because you are using the Omni Magnus

Why? These work well to keep the guns firing with Downtime Warrior oooorrrrrr If you use Play it safe they help spam active armor.

I programmed a macro to fire the first 3 all at once and just randomly press it constantly.

I use a second button for MSD and try to use it when the ULT is down. At first just mash all your devices constantly. The game has no penalty for that.

The gear.

Honestly it looks like you got a lot of advice from many sources and what you are winding up with is a jack-of-all trades and a master of none. This is ok of 1000 but not 2000 lunacy. And your attributes are all over the place but lets tackle the mainframe bonuses first shall we

Prioritize in this oreder

Firepower
Utility
Precision
Expertise

Why? KEEP THE ULT TURRET RUNNING AND BUFF it up!!! You might be tempted to bump up expertise but remember the mantra. Kill them before they kill me

Weapons

Ditch the Grim Reaper. It doesn't keep up very well in 2000 and its special ability only works when you have already over half killed your enemy and all Legendary weapons do not add to Fire, Util, Prec, and Ex. and they have no other attribs to reroll for. That's a huge handicap in my book, It impossible for me to brake down all the attribs here but you want big damage adders. This is what I wound up with after hundreds of rerolls.

Rapid StarForged
Eradicator
10% bypass shield
Non crit increase by 2% until made
20% damage Ancients

Judge
10% bypass shield
30% hull damage hull fix
20% Damage to Ancient

Soul Seeker
10% bypass shield
20% chance reflect
10% chance area damage 300m

Powerful Vigilante Jury
Fire on crit
last 3 do 100%
can not be intercepted

Powerful Rockets
Damage adders
20% Ancients works here if I remember right

Don't use Rapid Cats. Use Rapids that dropped that way and then stack the 30% Kinetic or energy cats on which ever is higher. You can feel the difference. I don't like cats that ramp up and the Evolution cat take to long unless you make an entirely different build for 1000 kills.

If you are using a weapon with only Kinetic damage like some scatter guns you absolutely need 10% bypass shield. Re roll to try to get 30% hull repair to help stay alive otherwise just the biggest damage adders. You really got to put on your thinking cap. Some attribs are not what they seem

Radient Legendaries

SB8494
Omni Magnus
Terminal Velocity
Bob

The best ones have Fire,Util,Prec, Ex but are as rare as Bigfoot. Just try to get ones without Structure or Resistance. Those bonuses are pretty much usles here
Expertise is nice but prioritize the other 3.

Other Gear

Optimized Tides Triton Core (Tuned if one drops and then stack Attrib AMP Cat on top)
Firepower and any attribs that increase ULT duration or damage and

Optimized Redemption Dogmatic Scanner
Firerpower
I got way lucky and rolled
Firepower
20% to Coil gun
20% to Gauss Cannon

I've re rolled hundreds of times and never got another one. Just try to get 20 coil and Fire and what ever.

Check my bomber guild out for inspiration. It should help

That's all for now

Happy Hunting.

Have you noticed that if you don't kill the boss n the high risk areas, the enemies spawn forever.

I built a Striker that keeps the ULT running most the time out of spare parts and cranked the level down to "very easy"

Then I cranked the aim assist up to 100%

Now I can easily get 1000 kills in about 30-45 minutes with most weapons.

Might as well kill 2 birds with one stone and do the HRA that drop credits but after a while the coinage stops.

Striker vrs Leviathan runs for the win.
