Flying sensitivity

By default, it's unplayably sensitve. If I try to look up or down, it flies by where I want and I have to go back and it flies by there, and it feels laggy as well, maybe slow system.

I tried reducing mouse sensitivity from .5 to .2, and it helped some but is still unplayable, very slow to try to go up and down and up and down aiming.

It feels like this can't be remotely normal.

There's something wrong with the mouse. Even trying to move it in the options menu, it lags and is hard to aim.

...Shouldn't you be going on the forums of whoever makes the mouse, then?
But if it is indeed a problem with Everspace, then try changing "Mouse Position" to 'Operating System' under Settings -> Input -> Mouse & Keyboard -> Mouse Movement. Normally that setting just cuts down on the input lag, but in your case it might be more helpful.

No. The mouse is fine in every other game. It's an issue with this game.

Tried that setting, it didn't help.

Tried DX11 instead of DX12, didn't fix it.

Do you have any controller connected to your setup? Some did mention that can cause some kind of conflict.

I just semi duplicated this issue by screwing around with the fps settings. Going from capped 60 to capped 30 caused massive slowdown in the menu and the actual game. Seeing how I can fix it on my end

You mentioned lag in menus, and that is *usually* caused by too high graphics settings. Set them to lowest everything, then dial up settings starting with textures until you start noticing performance hits. I found most of the settings other than textures made very little quality difference but had huge impact on performance. My pc & card aren't terrible, but this game still runs best on low-medium preset with high-epic textures.

First restart, issue present real bad. Popped it back to 60 fps, it got slightly worse. (still dx12)

2nd restart, it stopped lagging. The cursor was drifting incredibly slowly. (still dx12)

3rd restart in DX11, it was slightly better. I swapped from fullscreen to window a couple of times. Slight improvement, but the cursor was all over the place.

Opened the steam overlay with shift+tab, wiggled the mouse to see if it was working properly there. It was perfect. Closed the steam overlay and the problem was solved over here.

I have no idea what this is lol

*edit* my laptop charger was slightly disconnected at the wall outlet. The computer went to a power saving mode-- to OP, I guess check your power usage settings. Also I'm an idiot.

I can't help there. I play on Low settings too and fullscreen with 60 FPS capped and using a 1060 GTX card. I have few FPS drops in Drake areas, but the mouse was never an issue :/
