I don't even want to platinum it.
I just want to complete some basic objectives, like, say, a place in Drake where I need to find two secret stashes.
However by this point I'm just so tired of zooming around trying and hoping to see an icon pop up letting me know where puzzle portions even ARE...
i really like this game and did most of the stuff, but the amount of puzzles and hidden stuff is just too much and races are just horrible because the restart takes so long.
i maybe would go for races if you could just reset instantly.
just a quick reset to the start would be nice, without throwing you out of the race.
for platinum you have to restart for every tiny mistake, while flying full speed. thats a bit tedious with the current way, at least for me.
You can manage this in so many ways if you find or craft the right equipment. Get a light ship for the highest Handling. You can craft Cargo Units that both have extra Handling and Speed. Handling allows you to bank better in flight (with Inertia on), while speed applies both to regular, boost and cruise speed.
Get a booster that has high boost speed and extra passive speed, not energy gain. Higher boost speed allows for quicker reacting banking directions.
You can even use Teleport or Fusion Hook in various areas. Energized Boost is also viable, as you can cancel it's duration whenever needed.
Although I haven't played Hogwarts yet, then what you mention is definitely the minority. Of all the games I've played, nearly all of them tends to have an achievement for finding ALL logs, secrets, puzzles or whatever. Weirdly enough Hogwarts have an achievement that states "Complete all collections". Is that not 100%?
Honestly, it was refreshing and made the game more enjoyable.
Going to every planet could be a better achievement. hunting down every fracking, rune, battery, orb dispenser, hidden breakable wall on the ass end of an asteroid etc... Find the needle in the haystack bs, is tedious, not fun. TEDIOUS, and the rewards are middling to pointless. Reward a legendary for every completed system as incentive?
But I managed to do that with everspace fandom altough some description were really very very vague (who wrote them anyway?) :/
About races, buy a striker and you should have no problem (I even managed to get platinum in 2 of those with a sentinel).
You do not have to do everything in a game, or most things. If you don't have fun anymore uninstall and move on.
Or do they end up not mattering all that much with superior equipment?
