Wrath of the fallen... Why the nerf?
So i did 50+ of semi-hard rifts (300-400 lunacy) all to get the cargo unit legendary Wrath of the Fallen, which i saw on dev stream and was absolutely enamored with. The thing promised to revived ships you destroy to fight on your side for 15 seconds (that seemed REALLY short, but ok) with 40% chance.

So I finally got the thing only to see it nerfed even further down to 10 seconds. The drones you revive get evaporated the moments they revive, the ships you revive get to turn around and maybe ever fire off a volley before time runs out. If you ever luck out and revive something big, like Ravager or Tormentor... Well it might even turn around to face the enemy before exploding! Yay.

So question to Rockfish, guys, i overall absolutely love the game, actually love most of the legendaries, but did you really need to nerf that particular legendary beyond any shred of usefullness? Right now stuff you revive lasts so little it serves little more than a decoy for enemy to shoot at... ONCE. Compared to that the shield Cassiel's Protection, that makes invulnerable holograms that last all the way until your shield start recharging is massively better on all fronts. Yeah holograms dont shoot at enemies... but revived ships dont either! They dont have the time to. And the shield comes with a benefit of being the best shield you can get in the game as well. The disparity is too obvious.

Maybe a rebalance is in order? Like cmon at least 25-30 seconds?

To add insult to injury, i am seeing a big portion of my newly revived "allies" blow up instantly upon revival. I think its bad synergy with Symphony of Destruction character perk, violent explosion that happens when an enemy is killed by a crit happens after revival triggers, which results in revenants getting rekt or something? I thought those explosions are supposed to be harmless to your allies though...

The other cargo pod, BOB is even worse TBH. Only one extra target keeping heat off of you, doesn't do crap for damage and a 20 second respawn timer. Meanwhile WotF can fill the air with converted enemies, pulling aggro off of you. And I think you are right about the crit perk destroying them as I have never seen a freshly respawned drone get popped instantly

Well bob isn't really useful for other ships, but if you pilot the vindicator, thats basically 7th drone and it gets all the bonus dmg and hp from Expertise from what i understand. Not amazing, but pretty useful. Unfortunately reviving enemies for 10 seconds is even worse than that, i literally can't find a use case for it when its so shortlived.

If its meant to draw enemy fire - it fails. If its meant to let you create some allies to do some damage - it fails as well. Compared to how amazing holo-shield legendary or the armor is - its just pitiful...

What i really miss from Everspace 1 is the best device it has - Mainframe Override. Every run where i managed to find it was a blast!

1. This is an old Thread.
2. The Legendaries have VARIABLE Stats. They are even in a different Color.
If youre unlucky, the Rate and duration will be low.
Mine is obviously long than 8 seconds.

What I find humorous is the fact that for every post that talks about a legendary item being trash. there's another complaining that you can't equip a legendary in every slot. You people need to get your story straight, either legendaries aren't crap or you don't need to equip one in every slot. Which is it?

Both?

Them being crap / not game-changing makes you want to equip one in every slot because it's just the next rarity of gear to get.

I could say more but i'll leave it at that.
