In general, though, I wouldn't put too much effort into optimizing trading unless you're really into that stuff. Lugging around dozens of stacks of commodities hoping to find the best price at random will just take up space in your ship/storage. If you know you're heading to a different system, just buy whatever is at the cheapest price possible and sell it in the next area as it is very likely to be at least somewhat profitable. That way you make a quick credit without keeping your inventory filled with junk.
