If you want to cheat, cheat. it's not that hard to do.
... and cheating is below me. If you do that, that's your business.
Limitations are artifical and only take away from the power curve of this game. The 2 item limit should be removed.
Games are artificial by nature and patently defined by their rules and limitations. An outdoor game with zero rules is called a, "riot."
Nice, "should," bozo.
Maybe you, "should," make your own game then.
Try being constructive.
what do you mean, there is no reward? you pick and chose the items that fit best for your current build, which is probably determined by the ship youre flying.
if you have a ship with powerful armor and weak shields, you want to invest in good armor.
same for a ship that works around stronger shields.
if you have a bomber, you want powerful rockets. etc.
Sounds selfish, don't it ? ;o
Basically saying dev should cheat everyone's client to cater to your needs without you feeling bad about cheating, even though result is the same for you, ultimately.
Yeah, I understand that and also that its part of the gameplay. I don't oppose the idea of making it hard for players to run around decked out in legendaries. But then make them rarer than they currently are.
Its frustrating putting in the time with the goal to get legendary items only to be told that I can only have 2 at a time instead of benefiting from them after all the time sunk into getting them.
Adapting to scenarios isn't, to me atleast, satisfying. And flattening the power curve takes incentive away. So, really its all about giving more incentive to play, not less.
I think the only reason people have issue with the Legendary limitation, is that it is unusual. Any other game that I can think of, that has Legendary items, lets you fill every slot with them. It's what people expect.
They went a different route here, and I have no issue with it, myself. They decided to make red-tier gear not totally obsolete at end game, and I think that's fine.
I just look at Legendary items as a Set Bonus rolled into one item, so you are free to put what ever you want in the rest of your slots.
Alternatively, just expressing your displeasure with that mechanic without saying it should be removed and without assuming everyone thinks it's bad so we can have a conversation about it is very legit ;p
Putting aside that I find you strange going by what I just read, I am yet to see anything meaningful coming from you.
Outside of Melchor and LarvaLounges comments there really hasn't been much of a conversation here.
I'm just gonna peg that on the fact you're being judgemental because I called you out, because I also made legit arguments through this.
I mean, I am not sure how you feel justified saying dev should change game for everyone to cater to your personal needs in the first place. ^^''
Yes Indeed! also made some of the same arguments Larva made, but you're not considering these either because he called you out on your BS too. ;D
Funny how we had a conversation like... an hour ago in another thread about how many people on the steam forums think that when they dislike a mechanic in a game, it's the dev's fault, everyone agrees with them and it should be changed. That is not really representative of reality, and a really selfish perspective. ;o
Check out "So boring" thread, for reference. ♥
Just referencing your "I know better" moment too:
Destiny only lets you equip two at once and goes even further than that. One legendary ("exotic") weapon and one armor is all you're allowed.
If you go outside of video games, MTG only lets you have one of each legendary card in play at a time. Competitive Pokemon has various rulesets, but the most common ones restrict you to either zero legendaries or one on your team.
I get that the response is going to be "those games are multiplayer," but so what? The entire science of game design is about balancing things to create fun and interesting decisions for the player. Even single player games would be much worse if they didn't care about the numbers and let everything fly off the handle.
And if you really hate it, use cheats to mod the game to your liking. Nobody can stop you.
That sounds selfish too.
