Question about Titans DLC?

I bought this DLC but hadn't played the game for a while and only progressed about half way so I have began a new game, Is the DLC incorporated into the main game or is it something separate?

It states on the main menu that Titans is installed, how/when can I access it?

You'll be contacted in game around the halfway point through the story. The quest chains will be initiated around levels 15-20.

I woz jus "flyin thiugh" when I got the call, I was level 15. Dint know where I was, but I doubt it matters.

As a rough guide, players will start to encounter these missions around the lv15-18 mark, but there's also a couple of mission chains that need to be completed. (hidden for spoilers)

For Leviathan:

"X Marks the Spot" main mission needs to be finished

Fly to Prescott Starbase and the side mission will start

For Dreadnought:

"The Eye" main mission needs to be finished

Mission will start in supralight
