Does buying the DLC increase the level cap?
I haven’t bought the DLC yet. If I do purchase it, will there be additional content and will the level cap be raised, meaning I’ll have to farm again?

Personally, I think raising the level cap would be better. Looking at the patch notes, I feel like the new items won’t be as good as my current full gear set. If the level cap is raised, I’d have more motivation to farm for new items.

The level cap is not raised.

With this DLC the level cap stays the same. I suppose it will be raised with the next DLC. There are two new questlines and after that 2 new activities to farm. Leviathan and Dreadnaught. Both drop new the loot and catalysts, but rifts can drop the new legendaries well. Leviathan feels particularly different in style of game play to the base game.

I think the new items are fun and make quite a few new builds possible, particularly the catalysts and new sets. Also the QoL of having catalysts for the cargo bay that autodismantle up to a certain rarity (+give a small amount of credits on top) is a nice addition.

I was long gone from the game and had last played some time during early beta and only up to Khait Nebula. So it was a no brainer that when I was having fun while revisiting the base game, I would get the DLC. For you it might be better to wait for the next DLC then and refarm after level cap raise.

I hope not. Raising level cap is meaningless for this game.
Unless the devs really go to the path of "Hey, we raised the level cap, let's farm all of your same gear, again!"

I have no clear preference but wouldn't mind them not adding it neither. It's what a sizeable percentage of people want in many games though, some kind of progression, meaningless or not.

Either way, I would like to see new perks and an expansion to the existing system. I love tailoring builds and having more options when it comes to fine tuning, fixing weaknesses and boosting strengths without changing gear setup.

I'm sure I've read that level cap was going to be increased, New content, weapons the usual stuff etc etc

When you hit the cap, the game has a message pop up stating that the level cap would increase as new content is added, but it's pretty non-committal, and no specific timeframe or other specifications are given.

Basically just saying "Maybe we will, maybe we won't".

If they want to increase the level cap, they HAVE to add a lot of new activities, new perks, new legendaries which drop only on that difficulty, maybe new item rarities (with more stats on them at the same time, like 4 for purple starforged, 5 for legendary), otherwise it is indeed meaningless and only reaaaally annoying for people like me that have farmed a lot of starforged and Radiant gear to perfect a specific build.

For me, this seems to be a lot of work to be done so this can and probably will take a long time for a small team to realize and balance.

Rerolling items is literally a timewasting joke, there must be more detailed item modification like rerolling only 1 stat if the other stats are good already.

I would wish so hard that the stats on gear would be more meaningfull because most stuff is like. yeah here you go 1% more critchance or lol 6% more phys damage, which at some point really doesn't matter anymore.

Fortunately the gameplay is very rewarding, otherwise I'd already installed the game long times ago.

I also would wish a rift difficulty raise to 3000 or 4000... 2000 is a joke I can do that in 5 minutes or faster with a good reliquary.

New game + couldn't hurt aswell. :)

There is really nothing else like this out there. :praisesun:

how tf you do rift 2.000 so easy? i can´t even do rift 1.000 with my bomber ship tier 4 with radiant legendaryes ( pulse lasser radian , autocannon (+600% increased damage on missile) and also the radiant frozen missile launcher wich does massive damage

but even so , most trash enemyes in rift 1.000 one-shot me easy , and my other items are all of them starforged , so are good quality , i can´t imagine how much harder will be rift 2.000 , on rift 1.000 is the one-shot fest

I worked a lot on my gunship build. I could make it stronger now after the patch because I had to reroll items due to bugs which resetted my chaos rolls. Check out my build:

I would welcome an increase in level cap -- but only inasmuch as that would mean new story-line content. This DLC is not that.

Hi all. That's where the confusion crept in at reaching L30 getting that message. I had hoped that the new DLC Titans would be the one to give said level increase.
I've saved 49,843 tears 1,366 organic deep space semi conductors 40 unopened reliquaries so far and 2 sets of legendary upgrades in the misguided hope they would be useful.
Was i foolish in thinking these items would be of use and wasted my time collecting them. In hindsight I think i was and did.

The devs said in a Q&A Stream about this DLC that the next one in 2025 might have that said level cap increase.
