Can't find the last Bouy
In the Union system Zharkov Boarder area there is a side mission at "Carrier Hold up" to Find & repair damaged Bouys. I have found 4/5 & using "The Flying Dutchess" as a point of reference I have criss crossed multiple times. Anyone got any tips?

I was afraid of that LOL

if I remember, on this mission one of the buoys was covered by movable debris, and one was sandwiched between two small asteroids and was very hard to see until I changed perspective. I found it by seeing the antenna between the two rocks. those were the two hardest to find . Trying to silhouette them against the background while rotating the ship helped me for those two

Up date, SilverBashee's description was key in finding the missing Bouy.
Thank you :)

Thank you :)

You are very welcome. Glad I could help, visualizing some clues in this game has been a big challenge for me so far.

I know this is kind of a cheat, but yet, the game still doesn't offer navigation markers for proper exploration of heavy nebulas, so here is a little tweak to use ONLY if really needed in these kinds of situations (it will kill the game's mood)
Go to the "Engine.ini" file, and add these lines:

[SystemSettings]
r.Atmosphere=0
r.VolumetricFog=0

[ConsoleVariables]
r.Atmosphere=0
r.VolumetricFog=0

This will turn off fog completely, and give you a clear unobstructed view of the whole area.
As I said before, use it only IF you cannot solve something due to the heavy occlusion of nebulas.
Also - r.VolumetricFog=0 - by removing volumetric fog, you can gain a lot of fps on a potato pc.

x:\Users\<UserProfile>\AppData\Local\ES2\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

x: = drive ES2 is installed onto.

I haven't made those suggested changes // just providing the path.

It works, thanks!

Shall I assume this document "Engine.ini" is not accessible when you have been playing the game off the Steam app? I can't seem to find any "ES2" folder on my PC.

It is there whichever version of the game you are playing. Two posts above the path has been linked. The "AppData" folder is usually hidden by default in Windows, so you may need to enable viewing of hidden folders before you can access it.
