You can. The Azeron is just a fancy keyboard anyway. Anything a keyboard works on, it will. The only issues you have with it is the same ones you have with analog keyboards that sometimes don't support analog inputs alongside kb/m. There are still controls tooltips issues even if they do. That's not to say this game has all of those issues though.
But of course, efficiency is not the only thing gaming is about :P
Hey why don't you try playing it with a touchpad for a challenge? Some people are skilled enough to do it well xD
Did also all the races, once I got the KB/M basics down in platinum with ease in a Banshee.
I certainly don't have issues with using a controller, but it takes a lot of practice to get the same kind of performance with a controller, so I am not surprised at how many people prefer mouse & keyboard..
and just as you said, I also play games like this with controller but for this one I also suffer bad aim, I have a joystick but still didnt try it because M&KB are much better in everything already when it comes to fighting and moving around.
Also:
Ideally I want to use the Joystick and Keyboard when flying.
And the Mouse and Keyboard when navigating both the ship and game menus.
And I would like the tooltips for the menus and controls to correspond to the Keyboard keys and not the Joystick buttons.
In the tutorial the prompts for the controls correspond to the keyboard keys but the onscreen tooltips/hints for the controls and menu buttons all correspond to the Joystick buttons.
I've messed around with the control setup but I can't find where to configure this to how I'd like it. Any advice appreciated.
Edit - Never mind - figured it out. Just unbind the required Joystick buttons in custom controls and it reverts to the Keyboard tooltips.
