We've done our due diligence to preserve the game in its entirely across computer and console, and very little visual fidelity has been lost. Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X operate at very high levels. Xbox Series S is considered a "step down" - namely due to the console specs, which shouldn't be a surprise - but still passes our quality checks to play in an acceptable capacity.
If you have a superpowered beast of a PC, then you've already answered your own question.
@Dev: Maybe a pinned Thread with the max. possible Settings would be useful. By now, we had a sizeable amount of Players with Problems, that are linked to UE4 limitations.
Limits in Screen Resolution, Audio frequencies and so on....
Since you cant stuff a better Engine into the Core-Slot without making the Game unplayable, listing the max. Performance of UE4 makes more Sense.
Is the version that you guys have on the gamepass for PC (!) identical to the one that you have here on steam?
For some games like Age of empires IV this is the case, for some (like aforementioned chivalry 2) the gamepass version is basically the xbox version running on pcs natively, down to the point that action promps use xbox controller key names
There is no "superior" version here in my humble opinion, there's just 2 versions that are very similar and yet not identical. If you already have Gamepass, then it makes sense to play it there. If you are considering getting Gamepass to play Everspace 2, I think that has merit as well as the game is free to play with your subscription to Game Pass, but you could end up paying more for the subscription to Game Pass than what it would cost to own the game on Steam, but then you would have access to hundreds of other games you could play and therefore might actually make Game Pass the better choice. I actually own the game on Steam but play it on Game Pass as well because I subscribe to Game Pass and have no qualms about playing either version.
Ultimately the choice is yours. I don't think you can really make a "bad" choice here. It's 6 of one half dozen of the other.
That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
I'm not sure what nonsense you're spouting but if your question is 'what are the max settings this game can run at on an appropriately powerful Computer..'... Then the answer is Everything Epic, and I had DLSS/FSR off.. I played through the entire game with everything maxed with absolutely no problem.. There is no 'UE4 limit' or any other BS like that here.. If the game can't run at a setting, then the devs wouldn't include that setting, in this or any game... Period.
