Adam finally died, and the true Star of this Game, Hive, manages to build himself up via numerous shipversions and transformations and fights the Galaxy for better!

Well, so far the series has been all about Adam, but if they ever switch protagonists, HIVE would easily make for a recurring character.

Don't see him as the hero type though, he fits well in his role as the cynical sidekick.

I'd rather have Everspace 3 with character creation and extended perks to customize them.

I wouldn't mind playing as a pirate, maybe like Marie de Windt or something.

I think it's a bit early to think about a 3rd installment, we've still got a couple DLC to get through before that I think.

How about this: You play the first story as Adam, and then unlock his companion stories, and you can keep playing as one of his companions (we actually "play" hive, and ship configurations and upgrades), until you unlock all the stories. In the end-game, you get to rebuild a new Adam clone from scratch, customize it as you want, and enter one last story for him -pure RPG style.

Call me crazy, but I see A LOT of similarities between this game and Borderlands, especially the travel system and loot style.

I don't think it would be too far fetched to be able to play as one of 4 different characters with different skill strengths tbh.
