Settings to decrease to lower GPU temp?
The game runs great for me but my video card and cpu fans are going crazy. Which graphic settings should I lower to reduce this with little loss is quality?

Others have reported that only lowering resolution really helps with performance, that is using DLSS or FSR. I guess switching off AA and SSGI is worth a try. What specs do you have?

sounds like you need to clean your system. If both gpu AND cpu fans are going nuts, then you need better cooling, and that is likely due to things being dirty inside your case

Do you use FPS cap/vsync to not letting FPS unleashed?

Other then that volumetrics and SSGI are usually the heavy lifters.

yeah you probably only need to limit FPS, some games will take up as much resources as you have available to deliver maximum fps, even if you probably don't need that much fps. I would at least try that first.

In my case limit FPS and vSync on or off doesnt make a change.
Running with 255 watt and up to 100 degrees with 75 fps cap and vsync on.
Same with unlimited all ;-)

Have a 4070Ti and set graphics to high, now have normal temps.

Asking partly for my own curiosity as I am halfway considering buying the game, but are you in windowed-borderless?

I know Everspace 1 (like many games) uses pretty much double the power draw in borderless as compared to fullscreen.

Probably obvious, I know. :)

Then it's a matter of tinkering with settings until you find the one that causes this for you, I don't think this is an issue that stems from a particular setting/the game itself, I'm running this maxxed in windowed borderless with a 3060, and my gpu isn't even sweating.

Thanks for the replies, capping the frame rate at 120 and turning off SSGI helped.
