100% complete area map.

I usually scour every nook and cranny on a map, but sometimes I don't. Is there any indicator on the main map that shows this? Currently I see either check marks or solid diamonds.

I'm aware the solid diamond with a small up arrow or down arrow indicates if the area is above or below my level.

Do a search for 100%. I think you'll find half a dozen threads that already have the answer.

Edit: Well apparently you can't search for numbers. Never ran into that problem before. I guess you can do a search for complete, but you'll find a lot more than what you really wanted. I guess you'll just have to search for the threads, there are tons of them.

I did search 100 and 100%. No results as you also discovered. Also as you and I discovered we found out searching for numbers doesn't work, didn't even come up with this topic. I searched Map and came up with a lot of different results.

So, rather than being unhelpful, either don't post and let the thread die or provide some insight.

**edit there's only mentioned by the Dev of a perk to unlock that will show complete.

I found 2 or 3 on the first couple pages of the threads and you apparently found your answer. I apologize for not having known in advance that you can't search for numbers, but I think you should complain to Steam for that, not me.

I didn't find my answer. I found that there's a perk. That's not the answer, that's the work around.

That is the answer. The only way to see if you have 100% an area is the perk that you get later in the game that will show you on the map your completion percentage of every single place. You will get a notification in game when playing when you have 100% an area, but you can't see that from the map until you get the perk. The check mark does not indicate you have 100% an area, it indicates that you have completed the location objective if there is one.

You can't see completion status until you unlock a perk later. There is no truly unique loot in this game except on challenges/renown rewards, so it's fine either way.

Also note that max difficulty is very easy (vastly easier than Everspace 1), so it's not a bad idea to prioritize the main quest until the enemies in it become your level or higher. That way you also unlock the perks sooner.

In my defense the initial post was back in April of 2023 when there were literally 3 or 4 threads on this question going on at the time. Might be a bit harder to find the answer now 18 months later, but my response at the time seemed appropriate. Note that he did find the answer he was seeking without my help literally 7 mins after I posted and a mere 37 minutes after his initial post. Couldn't have been that difficult to find the answer. I apologize if you didn't find my answer helpful now, 18 months later.
