Can all areas be "completed"?
Hi, i try to complete areas in Ceto and i wonder if some systems can't get that "checkmark" on the map, like Rhodia Orbit, or if i'm just too dumb to find the last secrets. Would be cool to have an overview in the "Data" tab to see which areas i have completed and which i haven't yet

afaik endgame you get a way to see what you have missed, but those undiscovered locations can all get a tick next to them at least

I don't believe the check mark means the area is 100% complete. I believe the checkmark means that if there was a location objective it has been completed. Those without a location objective just get a check mark automatically when you visit them I believe. Later in the game you will get a perk that will show you the percent complete of every location on the map. Once you get that you'll be able to see whether or not you have completed a location.

ah, good to know. i know that i sometimes get the "100% completed" popup and the character says "nothing else to do here" so i was wondering if i was missing something in those systems without the checkmark

I came here looking for this same information. I started the game not long ago and I am too in the Ceto Region. I just finished an area where I was told the same thing, "Nothing Else to Do Here" so I was assuming if you cleared an area completely, you got a check mark. I'm still a bit confused haha. At least I know I get a perk later that shows what I have missed, but im still unsure if the check marks can be achieved in every area or not.

i played further and you later get a crew member where you can upgrade scanners. first it only tells you how many % you have cleared, with the second upgrade it even tells you if you're missing mainframe components, just normal secrets (containers, high-value wrecks...) etc

No you cannot get a check mark in every area, only in those areas that have a location challenge. That's what the check mark means, that you have completed the location challenge. If there's no location challenge you cannot get a check mark for that location.
