When do I unlock ancient rifts?

Is it only after I complete the main story? Because I've already gotten the spatial bypass beacons built but still don't get the option to enter ancient rifts.

At level 25 + after you've completed Khala's quest for the spatial bypasses...

I have the same question. I am already 25+ and complete the spatial bypasses quest, and can't access to the ancient rift. My another EA save get the ancient rift quest after I complete the main story. I am not so sure it is because I put the spatial bypass in the new star sector or what. If it is true, it is already the ending of main story.

For anyone wondering, I figured it out. You get a side mission immediately after completing the main story that unlocks the ancient rifts, together with nightmare difficulty.

There's some confusion because the way they were working in Early Access has changed for the final release.

"Rifts in Space" - Side mission. Not to be confused with "Rips in Space"

That's the most idiotic quest in the game! I give up on playing it (https://i.imgur.com/AFjnrml.png) and the next time such a game is released, I'll first play it from torrent and then, if it's fully playable till the very end, I'll buy it! I'm tired of games which were made by people with fish-sized brains!

I´m level 30, finished the main quest (no yellow quest left) but I didn´t get the "Rifts in Space" side mission. The only mission I have left is the racing mission. Do I need it for the Rifts? Or is my game bugged and I have to load an old savegame and replay the last mission (oh man, I was level 27 there...).

Just read the patch notes:
Fixed that main missions stopped after completing "Blakemore's Wrath" if continuing from an auto-save that was created right after mission completion. (Players affected by this can now dock to homebase and load the just created auto-save and the follow-up mission will start.)

Yeah, that was my last mission. Is there more coming? There was no yellow quest -.-

Update2:
Visited the Base and loaded the Auto Save, game no progresses further. It wasn´t the last mission...

Follow those steps again. I had the same issue. Get to the home base. Load the auto save. Worked for me, there's quite a few more story missions after Blakemore's wrath.
