Broken Drone L6 in Union Bridge

Is this thing safe to engage or destroy or is it part of a side-mission? I've flown near it and got no reaction. I also cannot find any mention of this drone online, either here in the Discussions or elsewhere on the web.

It's safe to engage and destroy. If I'm thinking of the right ones. Once you shoot them they will try to run away. If you blow them up they're like a loot pinata. Like treasure mobs in other games.

I've run into a couple of them so far. Adam will remark about how he needs to destroy it before it runs away.

When I encountered my first one I think it was around level 8 about 4 or 5 levels higher than me at the time. It can do some serious damage if you just toy with it. I kept it at the outer range of the flak gun and let'er have it. It dropped loot several levels higher than my own. Its worth killing.
