If you do find a good trade route between systems for various commodities, then it can be a lucrative way to earn more credits, but it's not a focus.
i dont know, man. you say that but im looking at some of those goods and theyre worth up to twice as much as their lowest buying point when you can sell them at maximum profit. some of the higher rarity ones look even better.
i guess it entirely depends how the scaling is, and if you reach a point where you can buy out a trader, if the amount of profit is still noticable later on.
but it looks like it could be fun for a while.
Now I know why I should have been attracted like crazy by this game, but at the end I am not, it's looking like a shooter. I will have to wait for September...
sigh...
Not dynamic. As I mentioned earlier it was an addition to allow players to earn a few more credits by finding some lucrative runs, but we're not into simulator territory, just a nice extra feature.

50 bucks for a 5 year old game though...
i mean. this should be really easy additions to this game though, if theyre willing to do this in a future update.
they could add a few ships with tons of cargo space and lower defenses, and firepower for trading, or just make some of the G&B ships that NPC's are already using available for purchase by the players.
then a few price fluctuations shouldnt be hard to do either. maybe add a few random events for heavy price drops or increases on certain goods.
and random pirate assults with increasing chance the more valuable cargo youre carrying should also be possible.
the more complex stuff would be to establish your own mini mining outposts and refineries for resource generation, and processing before youre shipping them.
That just happens to be the current price. If you look at the sale history it looks like 60% off every month or two.
New DLC drops next week so look out for a sale if you are interested in the game. Base game sales usually follow relase of a DLC.
